Bloomberg Spent $4 Million to Promote a Sweeping Background Check Law – And It Just Passed (http://therighttobear.com/bloomberg-spent-4-million-to-promote-a-sweeping-background-check-law-and-it-just-passed/)
http://therighttobear.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/Screen-Shot-2014-11-11-at-9.25.37-AM-300x161.pngBackground checks are one of the darling initiatives Democrats are using to set up systematic gun control. By their reasoning, if you can get people to submit to background checks for the private sale and transfer of weapons, it won’t be long until you can get them into a national database.
And the mid-term elections gave opportunities for Democrats to sink their fangs deep into the 2nd amendment.
In Washington, state voters just approved a new background check initiative. The new measure will require a background check on any and all purchases or transfers of guns. The measure passed by almost 60 percent in the state’s election process.
Maybe the measure passed because everyone’s high on that legal weed out there in Washington. But one thing’s for sure, you’d have to be high to believe that background checks are going to deter criminals from getting guns.
Michael Bloomberg’s organization Everytown For Gun Safety spent as much as $4 million dollars in the run-up to the election to make sure the initiative was passed. The leadership of Everytown For Gun Safety is, of course, quite proud of their accomplishment.
John Feinblatt who serves as the organization’s president said,
When it comes to guns, the only Washington that mattered this election was Washington State and the victory for I-594, the background check ballot initiative there, proved the polls right – when Americans vote on public safety measures to prevent gun violence, gun safety wins.
…The NRA might be able to intimidate Washington DC and state legislators, but they don’t intimidate American voters – and we expect to prove this again in Nevada where signatures are currently being gathered to put background checks on the ballot there too.
Democrats are appealing to the irrational fears that many have about guns, and they’re using massive propaganda pieces to help bring these laws to pass.
The largest contributors to helping pass the initiatives were King, Pierce, Snohomish, Skagit, Whatcom, San Juan, Kitsap, Thurston, Mason, Jefferson and Clallam Counties.
Known hotbeds for liberal activity, it was the collectivist efforts of Bloomberg and his goons that used the combined ignorance of liberals to get the measure passed.
It’s a crying shame more liberals don’t actually think for themselves.
If you’re reading this article right now, the odds are high that you possess a brain that works. And if you’ll notice the trend here is a growing (and irrational) fear about guns.
Sure, Republicans are in office now, but that doesn’t mean your guns will always be safe. When liberals get their seats back, you better hold on tight to your Smith & Wesson.
If you want to eliminate the fear of the state taking you guns, then there’s an easy solution: Get your hands on an “off-the-books” AR-15.
You’ve likely seen this claim before, but if you haven’t investigated it yet, you’re shooting yourself in the foot.
