I went over to the VFW for breakfast, since our Chapter meeting is held there. They had two "breakfast specials". One was the Russian Omelette, the other was the Mexican Omelette. So, I asked Linda the waitress what the difference between 'em was. She said, the Russian Omelette had a little lead time, cuz first they hadda send someone out to steal some eggs. The Mexican Omelette had an even longer time, since they hadda go steal three live chickens!
I had the biskits n' gravy.
Later on, the Chapter VP (a Episcopal Scottish Jew) was listening to a the Post Commander recount how the previous evening they enjoyed a live presentation by two young Marines about underwater mine clearing. The VP said he thought they used dolphins for that these days. Post Commander said no. VP replaied, "thats right, dolphins are supposed to have intellegence!" Post Commander was not amused, and said so. VP went on to say, "oh then its probably because dolphins cost more to feed!". Post Commander did not flinch, and said "no you moron, its that dolphins are too expensive to replace!" The Post Commander is former US Army.
