Today I shot a new factory load for the first time. It was Speer 200g GDHP Personal Protection. It is rated +P. The magazine tended to drop out on its own, with one round still in it each time. The gun has about 500 rounds through it and never did this before.
I am wondering whether it is due to this ammunition.
What do you think?

BTW: The CW45 really shot well with this ammo, yielding a centered, small group about 2" above point of aim at 16 yards.

rounds won't cause it.. Make sure your not accidentley touching that mag release button as +P rounds causes ones grip to do funny things some times. If it continues, call kahr an d have them send you a new mag release button to put in. Will take you about 5 minutes.

Also try your other magazine to see if it duplicates the issue. Eliminate all possables.

Well, I just finished reading gb6941's expose' on this issue in the Kahrtech section. I think he is onto the issue and solution.
Following his lead, I placed one, then two, then three rounds in the magazine and inserted it into the frame. With two rounds in the mag, the latch does not fully snap back into place as it does with one, three, or any higher number of rounds. I removed the tail of the follower as he suggested, and now it does. I think I will be able to cure this and will also ask Kahr for the new replacement latch. But I suspect I have already cured the problem.
Thank goodness for the Kahrtech section and great contributers like gb6941!

Today I confirmed that the fix works. Same ammo, three trials with the modified magazine, no drops or malfunctions of any kind. It's all good!
