Magazine catch strength

Me EDC is a CM .40. My question is and it's more for curiosity's sake. How strong are the magazine catches? I leave a fully loaded magazine in my pistol sometimes 24/7. Do magazine catches ever wear out from leaving a fully loaded mag in all the time?

It's been my experience with semi-autos that the magazine catch itself almost never wears out. IMO, it would take several lifetimes of use to wear one out. If anything gives you trouble there, it is likely the magazine catch spring.

Take your kahr mag catch out. Hefty piece of steel. Spring is strong also but very easily replaced but I doubt you will have trouble
