I've owned a CW9 since August and just purchased a CW380, which I haven't received yet. I thought it was probably a good idea to join KAHRTALK since my Google searches always end up here. Seems to be some pretty straight shooters posting.

I have learned a few things already and look forward to spending time learning some more.

By the way my CW9 is my edc and I am very pleased and comfortable with it.

Hey from Western Colorado,

Looks like I'm going down the same road...kinda. I'm new to the forum here but have picked up some good info.

I bought my daughter a CW9 last year but she didn't care much for it so I gave her a XD9 and put the CW9 in a drawer. Didn't give it much thought to it until I got my CCW Permit in June, so I got the CW9 out and started practicing with it. I really liked shooting it, sweet trigger. As time went by I started looking around for a pocket pistol and settled on a CW380. I like shooting it even more than the CW9; couldn't believe how accurate it was. My wife liked it better than the old S&W Mod.37 she's had for years. So, today I picked up another CW380 at Kentucky Gun Co for $239.00...w/free shipping! Solved my Christmas present problems.

I've put many rounds through both and have had 100% reliability, not one FTF or FTE. I couldn't be happier with my two Kahr handguns.

CW9 is with me in cool weather, and is the best conceal carry gun I can imagine ever having. Inexpensive, reliable, but not the most beautiful handgun. I do not care about that too much. I like the CW9 to carry because it Just feels right. I currently have a Taurus TCP for summertime. I am hoping my wife will catch on to going to the range with me and I can get her to try the CW380. Right now she is only interested in my (her) Ruger Mark I 22 pistol. ( she doesn't carry) I think If she isn't interested in the CW380 it's my gain. Got the same deal you did
by the way. Don't konw how they can do it for $239. Just couldn't resist.

Welcome from Indiana. My cw9 is my cc gun. I'm looking to get a cm9 for ankle and a cw380 for pocket. I'm just trying to finish my AR at this point. Hopefully after xmas I'll be able to get both. New baby makes things a little more tight.

I wanted to have my CW380 by Christmas, but that looks like it's not going to happen. I emailed Kentucky Gun Co. and they say they have not

received my money order yet. (mailed on the 6th of Dec.) There is definitely something to be said in favor of dealing with a local Sporting goods,

or FFL. If there is any more to say about this I probably should start a new thread. Correct?

I also ordered one from Kentucky Gun Co. Irresistible price. The site gave the option to pay immediately by credit card. By check saved about $7 but I don't expect it until some time in Jan. A personal check takes some time to clear, but at least I'll have a record when they cash it.

I like the personal check logic. I also like your signature quote. Amazing man that Winston.

UPDATE - I was surprised to get an email from Kentucky Gun Co. that the CW380 shipped this morning. I hope yours is on the way too.

I got the same email, and I too am very surprised. They found my M.O. pretty fast.

I got to the range finally and began the break-in of the CW380. First 50 rounds were Herters FMJ. Flawless all the way through the box. Next I got out the Fiocci FMJ and that was a total different story. Every single mag was (many) fail to go into battery, or failure to eject, or slide locking open before last round.

I did the prep before firing as recommended here. Polishing and all. Fiocci FMJ ammo should not be fired in this pistol. There is a pronounced crimp in the brass casing that must be the cause. I've read this before, but I bought the stuff anyway.

I will place a much higher value on some of the info I read in this forum from now on. (like cleaning after every 50 rounds)

Herters FMJ runs very nice in a CW380. I will be trying out Blazer Brass FMJ next.
