Hello fellow gunners!
New to the forum and to the Kahr make of firearms. Planning on getting either a cm9 or a cw9 as a pocket carry but can't make up my mind on which one to get. I really like the cm9 as its the smallest 9mm of the family of Kahrs. I have one on standby for $400 with 2 mags and a pocket holster with talon grips. Or should I get the cw9 with 2 mags and a Hogue grip for $300? Both guns have about 500 rounds thru them.
Looking for advice, pros/cons, experience with either of the two to shed some light on which direction I should go.
I have a g19 for the winter months, but looking for a summer time rig that I can wear with basketball shorts.
Thanks in advanced!
You can make a small gun bigger but you cannot (easily) make a big gun smaller.
CM9, and get a 7rnd mag if you want the extra grip space. If you already have a G19 then a CW9 is not going to fill any new role.
Although, those prices are high, too close to new in my opinion, even with an extra mag. I'd haggle.

From what I've heard the CW9 is a bit too big for pocket carry. I own a CM9 and CM40. Both guns are easy to pocket carry and have been flawless since the day I purchased them.
I'd go for the CM9, a very smooth shooting gun.

CW9 was too big for me to pocket carry. CM9 felt good some days and felt too heavy other days. Between the 2 I'd go with the CM for pocket carry.
Both were 100% reliable from day 1.

CM. But you might be able to find a better deal. IMHO the best set up is a CM with a 6 round mag on your belt or in your pocket plus a couple 7 or 8 round mags for backup.

Definitely CM9 for pocket carry. CW9 would be more suitable for holster carry.

You may want to consider a CW380 for pocket carry.....it vanishes in the pocket

Ditto on the CM9 for pocket carry. I own both CM9 and CW9. I have a thin 0.60 kydex pocket holster and it works great. If I had bought the CM9 first I wouldn't have bothered with the CW9.

they are temp. out of stock but if I remember right both were $299 each new. Yes they only had 1 mag but you can buy a lot of mags. for $100

I say CW9 for belt carry and CM9 for pocket carry. I've done both and this is my story. tom.

I own both. The CM9 definitely fills the pocket carry roll. My primary carry is the Glock 19 but since getting the CM9 I have been carrying that more often.

CM9 for pocket, CT9 for waistband.

^^^ I was gonna say that this makes a lot of sense (it does) but then I got to thinking a bit further... You cannot go wrong. These are great carry guns. That's what they were designed for. And they all have slight advantages/trade-offs. Pocket/IWB/OWB...do whatever works for you. Just get one and enjoy it!

CW380 AND CW9 , the cw9 is the same size as the highly touted s&w shield and the cw380 well it just out shoots any other 380 in its price range and size.

I have a CW380 and a CM9. Both were purchased for pocket carry duty and both do that quite well. I went with the CM9 vice the CW due to the size. As has already been stated, your prices are on the high side. I purchased my CM9 new from a dealer on gunbroker.com. By the time I paid for shipping and the transfer fee I was into the gun for $335, and it was new in the box.
