Anyone own(ed) these pistols that can post a picture of the size difference? I'm thinking about replacing my TCP with a pocket 9mm, but not if there's a huge size difference. I'm kind of leaning towards the CM9 though..

I think quality matters a lot more than size. Your life depends on it. The latter two are rather questionable when it comes to quality.
My Taurus TCP has been flawless for me, but I'm only one data point vs the condemning blanket statement made by Pointblank.
I did not like the fit, finish, feel of either the DB380 or the DB9 so as a result I do not own one.
Here's a pic of my PM9 and TCP, wish I had a pic after I put a CT laser on the PM9 but this should give you an idea. I can take other pics like width comparison if you'd like, but not right now, I should be asleep.

(this is also the wrong forum, there's a PM/CM forum since you're asking about the CM and not the CW)

Both quality and size matter to me. I find the quality of my TCP to be just fine. Never had a problem with it, and it shoots everything. I have not owned or fired the db9, but I hear the current models are just fine. I found a lot of negative threads on other forums and this one about the cm9, but I also found a lot of good ones. The only way I'm going to find out in the particular firearm I purchase has questionable quality and if I can depend my life on it is if I take it to the range.

Thanks for the pics! Not too much of a size difference.
Opps... I didn't realize I posted in the wrong forum.. Hopefully a mod see this and can move it for me?
There isn't much of a meaningful size difference, weight is the most noticeable difference in carry.
The TCP comes in about 12oz loaded and the CM9 sits around 16oz loaded. On the one hand, it's only 4oz, but on the other hand, that's 1/4 lb.

Do you prefer to carry one over the other?
My mistake, the CM9 is actually closer to 19oz with ammo, the 16oz number was for gun and empty mag.
Naturally I prefer carrying the TCP as it is noticeably lighter and carries amazingly easily IWB with the clipdraw.
However, I got the PM9 for winter carry because hanging out on the internet will make you lose faith in the 380 in a hurry. Inside a coat pocket, the differences are not easily discernible whereas IWB you may notice the extra weight more readily.

I normally carry the M&P shield, but was looking for a deep concealment, go anywhere pistol in 9mm for occasions where it must not be seen. I just don't like the cost and scarcity of 380 ammo; otherwise, I'd have no problem carrying it.

This wasn't on your list but a S&W j-frame is 16 oz. loaded with 5 rounds of 38 special +p. I retired my .380 when j got the j-frame

You are right about the harder hitting S&W 38 spl +P, however they tend to be much more difficult to shoot accurately due to the extremely short sighting radius and terrible sites. I have one which had a horrible, heavy double action trigger pull. I had the gunsmith change the factory spring kit for a S&W after market one which helped out immensely.
If I had to carry a .380 I'd go with the P.380 or the very nice Sig P238.

I bought my CM9 to replace my DB9. The DB9 is considerably smaller, lighter and easier to carry. If the DB9 was more reliable I would be carrying it. I would guess that while shooting HST or gold dot it was around %90 reliable on the second shot *if* you download the mag by one. Certainly not good enough for me to consider it for EDC. Never had an issue with ball though.
My CM9 OTH has had no problems feeding whatever I've fed it.
The DB9 is the perfect size for me to pocket carry. The CM9 is a bit large but doable. Here's a couple pics comparing the two. (not mine):

Taurus quality control has been spotty at best for many years. I wouldn't risk my life on one. It's your life, you make the decision.

I've always been curious about Diamond Back and Taurus, not enough to buy their guns though. Didn't DB lose a lawsuit to Kahr for swiping their designs and not paying royalties?

Thickness matters in a pocket to me. I found the CM9 too thick for most pockets. The cw380 fits just right, as does my LCP. I don't have experience with the others.

I don't know about the lawsuit, but I do know some DBs were blowing up with +P ammunition.

At least with cargo shorts, I can often forget my CM9 is even in my pocket.

I buy these from Cabelas and can even pocket carry a Glock 26 if necessary:

If you have small hands or any problems with arthritis in them or anything, I'd stay away from the DB9. I had one for a short time and it gave me nothing but jams and more jams. I think the problem is that I have small hands, and they allowed the frame to flex too much for the gun to feed reliably. People with larger hands had a lot less problems with it. But of the 3 guns you mentioned, the DB9 would be the last thing I would consider. I think I'd actually rather use my throwing knives than rely on a DB9. For me it's a single shot or possibly a 2 shot pistol.
I got lucky and traded it for a nice older Dan Wesson "pork chop" barreled .357, that needed a little work, which I did myself, and it turned out pretty nice. It mostly needed disassembled and cleaned out, some light sanding, and a couple of new springs. Double action is very smooth now, and single action is light and crisp with no creep at all. Most important, it's gone bang every time I've pulled the trigger on a live round. The outside had recently been re-blued, so no problems there. I sure do like those Dan Wessons. Shame they went out of business. I did have a hell of a time getting the barrel shroud nut unscrewed. Soaked it in oil for a week then clamped a metal bushing remover wrench down real tight on it with a C clamp and tapped it a few times with a hammer to loosen it. You have to be careful because you are screwed if you bugger up the notches on the bushing. The guy that took the DB9 had big paws, and never called me to complain, so I guess the DB9 worked out for him.

With the problems I had with Taurus semi's several years ago, I would never even consider one for a carry or defense weapon.
I have no experience with the Taurus, but the DB9 isn't something i would recommend...
The recoil is very abusive and the grip height caused some nasty slide bite when I shot one, I don't have much extra meat on me either.
they also tend to destroy themselves, I think they made too small a 9mm honestly... if they used a stronger tool grade steel and a full steel
skeleton reinforcing the frame they would last longer.
my friend had the slide crack at the front of the recoil rod at about 500 rounds and his frame broke at the rear pin at about the
800 count.
he fought and got his money back after that, we felt it was irresponsible to sell it to someone locally.
but that's just my experience with one of them.

I'm certainly not recommending or defending the DB9, bit that really isn't a gun meant to go to the range and blast rounds. I view my Kahr CM9 the same way. Not that the CM9 isn't built well, it's just not meant to be a range gun. In my opinion, these types of guns should be shot enough to know if it's reliable, say 200 rounds or so, and then shot enough to stay familiar with it. I have guns better used for high round count range duty, and the CM9 is to put in my pocket in case I need it one day.
I've put 105 rounds through the CM9, and I will without a doubt put more, but I don't think I'll ever reach much over 1000 with it.

My CM9 has been totally reliable thru 500 rounds. FMJ and Federal HST. FOLLOW the Kahr breakin and you should be golden. Use the slide lock to chamber the first round! Smallest reliable single stack 9mm I could find and it world pocket, IWB or OWB just fine

CW 380 is even smaller especially thinner if the CM 9 doesn't work in your pocket. Mine has been reliable with FMJ or JHP with XTP bullets. But choose the 9 mm 90% of the time

I love my TCP!
Where did you get your TCP's clip draw?
I rented a CM9 and it's great I want to get on too.
The TCP is noticeably thinner than the CM9.

Got to second the Cabelas pants, these and the Trailhiker II cargo pants have some generous front pockets.... For the price there are none better IMHO. It baffles me how stuff that is supposedly tactical ( like 5.11 ) has such crap front pockets....
