My new CW45 does not chamber some of my .45 reloads. I have a .45 glock, 1911 and a Thompson 1927 A-1 and my reloads work just fine in them. I checked my reloads in my Lyman length and headspace gage and seem to be correct.
Factory rounds work perfectly. Does anyone else have this problem? It seems like the chamber in my CW45 is just a little tight. Is this a trait of the CW45?
Kahr chambers do seem on the tight end of the SAMMI spec.
Can't say for everyone, but my own PM45's like the longest loads that will seat in the magazine. Those feed the best. Naturally you need to make sure they fit in the chamber.
Check your crimp, ideally just enough to straighten any bullet seating bevel.
Make sure you didn't slightly "crimp" into a non groove, which would result in a slightly bellied case near the mouth.
Make sure your bullets are not oversize, by measuring them.
All else fails, use long taper crimp die. I use RCBS for .45acp, but the Lee is supposed to be good (and is cheaper).

I had the same problem. My 230 grain LRN reloads are set to 1.265 OAL (just under maximum OAL in the manual) and work fine in my other 45 but will not chamber in my CW45. They lacked between 1/16"-1/8" going into battery. The Hodgdon website says OAL should be 1.200". I will need to set about 600 rounds that much lower. I will try a few first to make sure there are no pressure problems.

Lee FCD. Maybe add in their bulge buster kit if needed.

I have found that CW45 need shorter OAL than others also. I have also found that bullet shape is a big factor. Using the same OAL but different bullet shape and they wouldn't seat.

Had to shorten my over all length about .025 for my CW45. They worked in everything else before it.

I try to have a case gauge to check any ammo that maybe has a problem chambering. Glad you got it worked out!

Mine use to have a problem with Xtreme plated 230 grain round nose bullets if I loaded them to an oal of 1.26". It also didn't like pmc ball ammo I Had the short frame rail issue so I sent the gun back to kahr to replace the frame. I also wrote them a list of all the problems I was having, including failure to return to battery with certain ammo.
I have about 2000 rounds through the pistol at this point. It now eats the longer oal Xtreme bullets without a flaw. I don't know if they addressed it at the factory our if shooting it so much fixed the problem.
Have you tried the plunk test to be sure that the problem is bullet hitting the rifling?
Wow. Sorry for the long post!
