I don't see anyone posting about this but the Kahr site has some new videos of Justin Moon and his shooting partner hitting man-sized targets out to 100 yards both standing and off the bench using various Kahr pistols. I'm going to try this the next time the weather allows as it looks challenging but fun.

Going to 100 yards, off the couch, is a stretch for many shooters. I prefer to start at 25-30 yards and do a walk-back drill. Take a shot, holster, walk back one step and take the next shot. Repeat. This allows the shooter to warm-up at distances I know they can be successful and helps build their confidence as distance increases.

With a little practice, you'll be surprised from how far you can ring the gong.

Not sure if that impressed me or not.....I can appreciate the difficulty but not sure it is important. I guess I need to try it to fully get it.

I tried it. It is more difficult than you think - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vW0t7hqsOFU

Respect! Hell, I'm challenged with iron sights on even an SKS. I doubt I could manage 100 yards using a pistol. Middle-aged eyes don't help.

Cool! Where was your hold for the shots? Did you use the standard sight alignment?

Hey, there is another YouTube gun guy that only shoots out to 80 yards. :)

Damn, that is something. Some people struggle hitting a target at 100 yards with a rifle let alone a compact handgun.

I shot Bullseye competition for several years and shooting 50 yards one-handed is part of the match. On my BEST days, I could keep all shots in the black but that was using an accurized .45 1911. I take my hat off to anyone shooting a Kahr without support and hitting a man-sized target at 100 yards. Can't wait to try that game with my P9!

BTW, anyone see the video of Bob Munden popping balloons at 200 yards with a S&W model 60 2"er? That Bob was one helluva shot!

Interesting and something done by Elmer Keith much earlier. This is something beyond the ability of 95% of us.

Nice entertainment.

PS - An Austin, Texas Police Officer shot a shooter at 104 yards at night with one hand holding two horses with his service weapon.

These are special shooters.

A better shot than yours truly.

Another ex-BullsEye shooter here, and like Marshal Kane I used to be able to keep all 10 in the black at 50... occasionally anyway. Best score with an accurized 1911 was a 96. Not the gun's fault - it came with a test target with 5 shots in a group under 2" and my reloads were actually slightly more accurate.

Back in the '80s I recall Clark saying that they were having trouble making a 9mm that could hold a 2" group at 50 yards. In my very limited experience I've found that 9mm is the least accurate round I shoot. My Kahr 40 and 45's shoot much better groups and the CW380 shoots about the same as the CM9.

I have tried a CW45 and a CM40 at 50 yards and have kept all shots in the scoring rings - the 6 ring is pretty big. Yes, I used a 2 hand hold. I find the DAO trigger a challenge one handed.
I'm not sure if I could keep 10 for 10 on a target at 100, but I'll have fun trying.
