I now have over 400 rounds through my CM9 and love this weapon. It has shot everything so far. The recoil is minimal and the weapon is very accurate. Highly recommend this weapon.

Great to hear.

I love mine. I'm not sure what I'm going to do when I send it off later this week to get new sights installed and to get the slide cerakoted. Not my only carry piece, but it sure is my favorite. Guess I'll carry the Smith until the slide work is done. :)

Awesome! Love my PM9. All that you say about the CM9 plus snob appeal. :)

Root, who's doing the work for you?

<snipped>, the owner is a fellow Hoosier gun owner and has done a lot of gun work (just not shown on his website). He'll be cerakoting my slide and installing my sights for me. They should arrive today, if so, I should get it all mailed off by this weekend and hopefully have it all back in a week or two :)
I'm excited for the upgrade even if it's a simple one.

Root, do a thread with pictures once you get it back.

Oh, I will. :)

I've since cleaned up the stippling. Next set of photos will include the new sights and blackened slide :)

I'm sure you thought you were doing a good thing by giving your buddy a little exposure. The problem is, by the strict definition of the law, the ATF (https://www.atf.gov/content/license-needed-engage-business-engraving-customizing-refinishing-or-repairing-firearms) requires an FFL to do this kind of work. Anyone can perform this work on their own gun, but you can't do it for anyone else, unless you are licensed. I'm guessing that's why your auto body shop does not advertise the gun work he does. Do him a favor and please delete his business name.

I think he does have a license, as he advertises on INGunOwners and has a lot of work posted there from others. But for the sake of safety, I've removed it. He came highly recommended for cerakote work so I'd imagine he's proper. ;)
Also, sorry for threadjacking your post OP! :P
Yes, the CM9 is a great working gun indeed.
He came highly recommended for cerakote work ...
I believe it. Guys that spend their careers in a spray booth have a lot of experience applying finishes.
