I received an ad from Grab a Gun with P9 blemished on sale. Looks to be a good price.

Bud's has the wrong pic up, but that's a better deal for a Texan - no state sales tax.

What's the deal with the "blemished" thing? Are these pistols that have been damaged in some way, or is Kahr just overstocked on the more expensive guns because of the good sales of the CW9?

From what I understand they are not damaged but may have a slight cosmetic issue such as the engraving etc...I think they also put a B on the firearm somewhere.

I got the same email and was thinking about picking one up at this price.....I really like my CW9 and wouldn't mind a P9 to go with it.

The draw was too great.....I just put one on layaway at Buds. They accepted 425.

Only thing I'm not sure on is if it comes with 1 or 2 mags. GrabaGun clearly states 2 mags. My guess is 2 from Buds as well as these are brand new guns.

Damn you KahrTalk lol :D

I was going to by a blemished cw45 a while back and I wanted to get the free mag during a promotion. I called kahr about the gun and they said they are considered used so no free mag. They also have a one year warranty instead of five years. The guns probably look pretty much new though.

Odd why only a one year warranty vs the 5 especially when both are brand new guns.

Probably the only quibble I have with Kahr is the warranty policies and procedures compared to other manufacturers

From the Kahr Q&A "If there is a "U" engraved on the trigger guard of your pistol, it is a factory refurbished and test fired model (often sold as a "test fired" gun). The gun is considered to be used, will come with one magazine, and is sold with a one year warranty."

I can understand the one year on a refurb but a Blem should have the five year IMHO.

I wouldn't be too concerned over a one year warranty all other things meeting with your approval. You have one year to shoot it and if you don't have a problem within one year of your purchase, it's unlikely that something will show up important enough to make you wish you had bought new. I already have a new P9 and think highly of it. I would pick up a second "B" or "U" P9 in a nano-second for my wife but she is comfortable shooting her SIG P228. Can't talk her into it, Darn!

I just bought a "blemished" K9 from Buds and still not sure what the blemish is. It functions great and I would not hesitate to buy another blemished model. Interestingly, 2 out of 3 persons at Kahr told me that the blemished models come with a 5 year warranty. Mine even came with 3 magazines and the new lockable case, and it was made in June 2014. I have a thread on it in the K9 sub forum.

Warranties cost money. And that's a very low price. Jm2cents

Based on the Kahr website, one would think the "blemished models would come with a 5 year warranty. With regard to the frequently asked question of why is there dirt residue and signs of barrel wear, the answer indicates essentially, among other things, that if there isn't a "U" stamped on the trigger guard, the gun is new and would carry the 5 year warranty. see the following link: http://www.kahr.com/faq.asp#q27
