New here on this forum. Got a Cw380 for Christmas and took it to the Gander Mountain range here in Orlando. I've read all the reports about a rough break in period with Kahr pistols. I cleaned the gun after purchase and spent the last few days working the slide. On my 3rd round I had a jam, but after fixing it ran almost flawlessly the next 197 rounds. Shot WWB ammo, seemed to do OK. Really like this gun and its conceal carry possibilities. http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/15/01/01/501247f628993a0ed911b4623f7cbf0c.jpg

Good to hear. I just picked mine up yesterday cleaned it today and will be trying it tomorrow. How did you like the accuracy? Was it hard on the hands after 200 rounds?

Not too bad on my hands. I also shot 100 RDS through my Glock 22. I would say just rack the slide as Mich as you can prior to shooting and remember the 200 rd break in period recommended by Kahr. The gun is very tight brand new, I can tell its loosened up some, bit another 100-200 RDS might be better.

Thank God the slides get easier to rack after shooting them a bit. My CM45 was so tight I could barely rack it. After around 125 rounds it's loosened up nicely. The range officer had to stick his nose in it when he saw me racking the slide and that it was taking quite a bit of strength, so he tried it, and it wasn't much easier for him. His comment: I'd put about 500 rounds through that before I could carry it." They are mostly Glock fanboys at that range, so if it's not a Glock they don't know much about it.
I happened to catch a conversation between one of the range officers and a new Glock owner, and I wasn't sure if they were talking about guns or women, the way they carried on. They certainly seemed to be quite "aroused" about the topic. I got out onto the range as quickly as possible on that visit. I have nothing against Glocks, they are reliable and a great weapon. I just don't like the grip on them. A Glock in .45 is a gun I am considering, due to it's price and capacity. I doubt if I end up with one, I've seen the 14 round Para USA 1911's going fairly inexpensive on the CDNN Sports flyers. That's a platform I'm used too, and it would depend on how it fit my hand. I think it may be a bit too wide for my small hands. I'd go with a S&W M&P in a heartbeat if it held more than 10 rounds in the mag. I have 10 round mags for my 1911's that function just fine, but they stick out the bottom of the gun quite a bit. A good quality 8 round mag, with one in the chamber cocked and locked seems like a good compromise. And something I'm very familiar with. And they look so nice with a set of Bawanna grips on them.

I shot my friend's Glock 20 the last time I was at the range. Fun to shoot, but wouldn't want to own it. Too much like their nickname................................if I were to break down and get one, I think I'd get a 23 in od or fde.
