I pick up my 3rd kahr today. I have a cw9 cm9 and now a cw380. I got the 380 home cleaned it up and started my break in and took it to the range and put 50 rounds of American Eagle with out one problem. The bad thing is I ran out of time and didn't get to finish another box of ammo. So far I like the way she shoots..

Nice!
How come the .380? Just want something smaller to carry?

I've been looking for a smaller gun to pocket carry for awhile and went after the kahr.

Put another 50 rounds of American Eagle without a problem 50 round sellier & bellot without a problem. 50 Blazer aluminum with 3 ftf and 2 fte. The little gun was pretty dirty so I cleaned it up and ran 15 rounds of sig elite without a problem. I can tell it started having problems with the blazer because of it getting dirty.
I won't be shooting that many rounds at once again. Now to find a good carry ammo.

Ditto, except I haven't bought the cw380 YET. Took my cw9 and cm9 to the range yesterday and put another 50 rounds thru each with no issues. Shot my friend's Ruger 380 and didn't like it at all. The long trigger pull seemed very difficult/hard causing inaccurate shots, and didn't seem to have enough room for my big trigger finger. Plus the dang thing kicked harder than my cm9. Another friend noted the same problems. I really want the chance to shoot a Kahr 380.

I shot both the ruger and the SW body guard 380 and both had a to hard of a trigger causing inaccurate shots. I have a cm 9 with over 800 rounds without a problem being my primary carry gun and I'm use to the Kahr trigger so I went with the cw380.

Glad yours are running smooth. I haven't shot my new CT380 yet - hope that having a longer slide, it won't be prone to the problems some of the little bitty CWs have been plagued with.

I have a CM9 and a CW380. Both have been flawless.

Right now I'm looking for a good SD round that's going to feed good. What is everyone else using?

Your gun will tell you what it prefers. What works in mine may not work in yours.

I managed to score a couple boxes of the PrecisionONe unobtanium rounds. I have also used Federal Hydra-shok. I like both and my CW380 likes both. You may have to experiment and shoot a few magazines worth or even a box to determine if your gun feeds them reliably. Check this out for some detailed info on .380 SD rounds out of these little micro-pistols:

Use Corbon Powerball in my P380 with no issues. But it also eats Sig ammo, Fed hydrashock, and Corbon 90 grain HP without issues.

aferguson27,
I've shot 3 of the 4 JHP ammos that use the Hornady XTP bullet mentioned in the video link that KingWulfgar referenced. I've shot the Fiocchi, HPR, and Precison One. All fed and functioned well when the gun was functioning well with other loads. (I have another post where I detailed what it took to get my P380's humming smoothly. Anecdotally, I have not seen as many references to problems with the CW380 as with my and others experience with the P380.)
Carrying the Fiocchi in one of my P380's and HPR in the other. When those are gone I will switch to Precision One as I got a supply of those. Still, I only carry with the 6 round magazines as mentioned in my other post. If you have not seen any issues by now, you've probably got a good one. If you do begin to see failures, segregate and record (for your info) if the failures are only or predominantly in the 7 round magazines.

I have been shooting the sig elites without a problem at all and I picked up a box of Hornady Critical Defense and going to test them this weekend. I'm hoping to order some Precision one ammo soon cause what I've read and seen on youtube the ammo works great in the cw380. I'm going to stay with my 6 round mag for everyday carry but I did pick up Magguts to see how well that will workout in my cw380 this weekend also.

I have put another 50 rounds of pmc and 50 rounds of Hornady critical defense with the magguts in the mag without a problem. I did notice the pmc is pretty nasty.

I picked up a CW380 a couple weeks ago but haven't had a chance to shoot it :(. I've got 250 rounds of Freedom Munitions and 150 rounds of the Precision One to check out.

I'll be curious what you think of the freedom vs the precision one. I find the freedom the loads to be really hot. I get a FTF ocassionally too, probably due the the flat nose.

Hornady XTP running ok in CW380. Good defense round.

Just don't buy Perfecta 380 for a CW. Does not chamber. Casings seem to be too big. Anyone out there have any success with Perfecta 380 in CW 380, let us know. I will then stop posting warnings to Kahr CW 380 users to not buy the stuff (I want to be fair). My experience with Perfecta was horrible in my CW380. I have seen similar posts to my experience. Other stuff running ok so far (Hornady, Blazer). Many have said not to buy white box Winchester with the flat nose. To be fair, Perfecta 9mm runs well in my S&W Shield 9mm. Probably the tolerance is not as strict in the Shield.
