Hello! Well I traded up my old TCP for the Kahr. Reading about it online I felt like it was a good fit for me, and once I saw it in person, I wanted it!

Reading about the potential issues with break-in and what not, I followed the sticky for cleaning the gun, racking the slide, checking the mags and other parts, etc.

Well I finally went out today and fired:
An old box of Remington ball with a couple assorted hollow points, ~#60
Followed by 100 rounds of Blazer brass I picked up at the range
And another 25 yards of Hornady Critical Defense (only other cartridge they had, not really interested in it for carry, but the guy behind the desk said it fed reliably in said gun).

First shot = slide locked back, LOL. Shook it off and then it happened a few more times over the next 20-30 shots. I made absolutely sure my thumbs were no where near the slide release lever and that I had a firm grip.
The next hundred or so I had 1 more slide lock back I attributed to a weak grip on that shot (my fault). And then finally I had one FTF with the Hornady ammo on the last bullet of a mag, and I tried to reload that round 3 times (used the slide release lever, every time), and that bullet would only chamber part of the way, so I'm attributing that one to the bullet, as the rest fed just fine. On that note, I had my 120# girlfriend fire about 20-30 rounds through the gun after it was running reliably, and I reminded her to have a firm grip, and she had no issues!

All in all I can say I'm very happy, the gun was very accurate when I did my part, even with double-taps, and worked out perfectly after the first 30 rounds or so. On top of that it fits my old TCP Nemesis holster perfectly! Now I gotta just run some carry ammo through it (thinking anything with that XTP bullet, maybe staggered with ball).

Good deal! Glad its performing to your satisfaction. I'm up to about 300 rounds thru mine and had only several failures in the beginning. Nice little gun and easy to carry.

Keeping my fingers crossed that the CW9 I have on order will perform as well as I want to make it my main CC gun.

Welcome to KahrTalk!

A few break in bobbles but it sounds like you got a good .380. Is it intended to be your primary carry gun?

I should probably start a new thread, but I was wondering if there are any reloads which are reliable (or semi reliable) with the 380's? I might go ahead and buy a few boxes of different reloads and see what runs best, but any opinions on what definitely doesn't work would be great.

Kahr informed me that reloads void the warranty. That still may be the case, so I'd check. CW380 and CW9 are a great combo.
