I put 100 target rounds of 180 grain Federal and Lawman through the CM .40 today. The gun functioned flawlessly with zero hiccups but my aim today was not the best. I did hit the bulls eye a few times though at about 7-8 yards.

Glad it ran well. A CM40 can be a handful so anything on a pie plate is probably pretty good. Have you tried a "thumbs forward" grip? I think it gives you a better platform from which to work that long Kahr trigger. Just make sure to keep your thumbs away from the slide lever. Give it a try. :)
Do I see a case for a long gun on that stool? What else were you shootin'?

b4uqzme, no I haven't tried a "thumbs forward" grip but I should give it a try and see how it works. Thanks for the info.
Yep, that's a case for a .22 rifle. The wife came with me to practice her shooting. She's going to try and get her hunter's safety permit soon so she can hunt with me this year. She got bit by the hunting bug last year when I took her.

If this is your first Kahr, you will get better over time. There is a learning curve with the Kahr trigger.

This is actually my 3rd Kahr pistol but only the 3rd or 4th time shooting this particular pistol. It does take some time getting used to a different caliber. I am better with my other two Kahr's. I'll just keep practicing until I get efficient with it.

You'll shoot better with a proper grip from a modified isosceles stance. (See the video.)

The thumbs forward seems to help me, as with a straight across stance...................................

Excellent on getting in a trip to the range, especially with the spouse. I'm a little jealous. Keep working on your accuracy with your CM40. I find that my copy is more accurate than the CM9, and I'm able to keep 10 for 10 on a 25 yard repair center, at 25 yards of course.
For good accuracy a good grip is essential. Try to avoid the whole hand squeeze. For target shooting staging the trigger can help tighten up your groups. I've been doing this for a long time shooting revolvers double action, and it was just natural on the Kahr. Dry firing can help you spot errors like jerking and pulling the gun off target with the trigger or whole hand squeeze. Good Luck!

I'm still getting used to my CM9. I'm shooting with similar results. You have to put the front sight on the target, not lollipop. That will bring up the lower hits. The trigger pull takes a bit to get used too. The bullets want to go into the hole, just send them home....
