Got it today and gave it a fluff and buff and lube then fired off 30 rounds of mixed brands including HP's with zero failures. Most were 115gr but a few were 124gr.
Nasty wx out so I shot off my back porch out into the yard. Right off there was less felt recoil than with my Ruger LC9s. Gives me the warm fuzzies when a gun performs initially without any failures. Realize 30 rounds isn't much of a test, but I'm inclined to think its a keeper.:D

30 rounds with zero failure is a decent start. At least your bonding and you got to shoot despite the less then harmonious weather.

I want to try the 5lb striker spring. Will the same spring work in my 380 and 45?

LOL. Never thot of it as "bonding", but couldn't stand shooting so little so I just now
fired off another 25 with no issues....other than it throwing way off to the left which
is undoubtedly me. I tend to do that no matter how hard I try not too. Won't know till
it gets nice enuf to put some targets up.

I have the PM 40 and P9 never once had an issue with feeding or ejecting. And I have hundreds and hundreds of rounds through both

Please excuse me if I'm wrong but were you inferring that the OP was saying his brass was being thrown to the left? I took it as his saying he was throwing his shots/hits to the left. I'm probably just not getting the intent of your post.

Happy to hear about the success with your new pistol.

Fired off another 58 rounds off the back porch today with only one mishap; one case lodged at top of ejection port as the slide was returning with a bullet on the way into the chamber. A slight pull back and the empty dropped out and next one chambered. Makes me think that round didn't blow the slide back that last fraction in order to eject the empty and caught it on the way to chambering the next round. If that's the case, it should resolve itself as the recoil spring takes a good set.:)

The short answer to your striker spring question is yes. That one failure that you experienced could have been due to a weak load or a limp wrist. Kahr pistols require a firm grip.

Thanks Muggsy. I have three springs on order and would like all my triggers to feel the same.
Probably did limp wrist it....i was standing and just ripping off some rounds just for fun and to get some round count through it.

As of early February, what some warm days we've been having on and off, I've put several more hundred rounds thru it with ZERO failures. Mostly 115gr round nose, some flat nose, some HP. The last couple hundred, I've not cleaned the innards at all, just want to see how long it takes before I get some failures. I do swipe the barrel every time or two, mainly because I've been shooting a lot of my reloads with Poly coated bullets and want to see how the barrel fares. So far, its staying very clean. Have 2000 copper plated bullets on order. Found a place that sells them as cheap as the Poly.

If I shot off my back porch in this seniors community a bunch of retired old farts (like me) would probably fill their diapers.:p
I like to hear happy happy reports. Still love my cw9 and cm9.

Baklash (love ur handle); I'm fortunate to have 10 acres out in the country with the nearest neighbors about 400 yards away. Also, there is a gun range less than a quarter mile in a straight line where banging goes on all the time, so they are used to my shooting now and then. I do avoid shooting during church times out of respect.:D
