In this area I have sworn off the small gun stores due to gouging and/or poor service. The ads by one of the gun stores on the local radio to shop local means paying excessive prices and mark ups of $4 or more for ammo that they bought from the Wal Mart down the street. I am not having it. Shopping local to me is done at my keyboard.

Generally, since we have had our .380 Caliber Kahrs we have generally been limited to WWB from Wal Mart and defensive ammo from the newly erected Sportsman's Warehouse about 20 miles away. I am NOT complaining.

As the ammo market cools down to a simmer, the shelves at the Wal Mart, a convenient 4 miles away, have continued to remain having ammo on them, and in greater variety. WWB in all varieties of pistol calibers, including .380 have been sitting on the shelves at a comfortable 300+ rounds worth. My Wife and I do not have days off together, so shooting the diminutive Kahrs is not as frequent. It has been damn cold to boot. I have several hundred rounds of .380 WWB, so I have not been buying. Cost for WWB .380 is hovering at $22/50. They have also have Tula .380, at $14, but I dont want to shoot that stuff.

Today they had about 400 rounds of PPU .380 at just under $16/50. Brass cases, and boxer primed.

We both went out to shoot our guns. PPU is great stuff. Both guns liked it. I am going to head back and buy several more boxes. papa

Some complain it's dirty but I've had good luck with PPU. I keep a stockpile of .30carbine. Thanks for the report.

I've been shooting it out of my cm9 over the last year without a problem.

I've shot lots of PPU out of several guns with zero issues.

I think the the PPU is a great value in a training round. I suspect that the primers are a bit harder than normal.
