I don't know how many of you watched the Seattle/Green Bay game, but I'm up nort here in cheesehead country, and the shock and awe is still reverberating around the state. Never being a Packer fan myself, I think it's hilarious. I like watching football, but I don't plan my life around the green and gold like some.......................like a friend of mine who breathes green and gold air, and does plan his life around the Pack. I warned him at the beginning of the season, not to get his hopes too high. They only have 4 or 5 top notch players, and the rest are average. If Dallas wouldn't have gone the conservative route, I wouldn't even be talking about it. The Packers did the same thing and it cost them too. It's the kiss of death. When you change the nature of your teams play, your done. Happens almost every time. I explained my theory to my friend, (which I believe is correct) and other diehards along the way. As you probably know, the Pack doesn't have just one owner, it has many. The Packers have filled the stadium to it's capacity every year since man arrived. To try to get a ticket to a game, you have to be in touch with any and all funeral homes, to be alerted as soon as a season ticket holder dies. Even then, someone else is ahead of you on the list, so, too bad. These tickets stay in families forever. I explained to these people that the Packers don't have to win. Profits are the bottom line, and they are one of the few teams that does make a profit every year. As long as they keep filling the stands and people keep buying those jerseys, they don't have to win, they just have to be competitive. Ted Thompson is a cheapskate, and picks up the cheapest players possible. Until he is gone, they will never win anything, and will always be a fan teaser, instead of a fan pleaser. Until they open up the money purse, and assemble a great team, they are destined to disappoint. Along with that, they need an attitude..........If Matthews spent less time in front of a mirror, and spent less time worrying about the hair products he was going to try next, imagine how good he could be. Until these things happen, and I don't see that happening in the near future, they will continue to be, as I call them, the one and done, although in this case, it was two and done. What say any football people??????????????????????????

That game took 10 years off my life. I'm of course in the land of Seahawks. I thought it was all over for us but they pulled one out of the hat when everything that was going bad started going good.
Made the win so much better. I'm sure all the Packers are still shaking their heads wondering what the heck just happened.
There's a heck of a fan base here. Seahawks stuff is everywhere. I'm by no means a die hard football fan either but I've been watching a few games. Would never consider going to a game in person, that's insanity to me.
They talk like Super Bowl tickets will be around 2600 bucks and that's for the nosebleed sections. Give me strength who in their right mind would pay that kind of money to be herded like cattle in a noisy environment to watch guys that look like ants on the field try to crush each other.
I'll stick to the recliner myself.
I do hope the Hawks pull off another Super Bowl, that would be real cool and the celebration afterwards would really be something. It was huge last year. Parade the whole deal. Watched that on TV too, don't do crowds much.

From what I've been hearing so far, a lot of people think that New England is going to crush the Seahawks.......................................... .I wouldn't bet my life on it. That Seattle/Pack game was one of the weirdest games I've ever seen in my lifetime. Between the ineptness, penalties, dropped balls, and the way it played out, it was almost like it was scripted. For two teams that made it that far, and did what they did during the reg season, it was like watching high school football. They were just bigger and faster. I was watching the game with my green/gold friend, and he was in shock........................said the same thing that a lot of people said............what the hell just happened. Ya snooze, ya lose.........................................

The Pack lost that game more than the Hawks won it. Rodgers didn't have enough in his tank to win a Superbowl.
Celebration that begins too soon can be costly. And humiliating.
Living on the marginal edge of Denver metro with a wife who's a hard core, native New England coastie (plus having lived up that way a good few years myself) we have the benefit of being a multi-favorite team household. When the Broncos step on it, as they often do and did again this year, we still gots the Patriots. Vice versa as well, but that's seldom the case.
Seahawks are both of our overall third favorite and first out of the NFC. I really did like watching that Seattle-Green Bay game....loved the ending.

I really didn't care who won the game, but I did check the score on my computer with less than five minutes remaining. It was 19-7 Packers so I didn't think any more about it until later when I heard the the Seahawks won 28-22. I checked and found out that the game was being rebroadcast in the middle of the night so I watched the last few minutes to see how they pulled it off. I heard the the Packer defense was impenetrable for most of the game, but it seemed to fall apart at the end.

The only thing I don't understand is why the pundits are saying that Seattle is favored?

The majority of that game, we just weren't on, nobody was doing what they normally do.
When they are on, they are a force to be reckoned with. I'm of course hoping for another Super Bowl win for us but we'll see.
I don't follow football all that close to really know who's who, who's good and who's not.
I truly do think that at any given game the worst team in the league could beat the best team. Lots of teams with good talent.

what come's around goes around-Detroit
as of right now NE-1 i think it should be a good game, but if Seattle plays like they did last Sun they wont have to worry about being able to make a late 4th qt comeback.
even though on paper NE has had better teams in the past, never under estimate Belichick & his Patriots no matter what.

And remember to check the air in the foosballs! It's ok we've played cheaters before in the Super Bowl.
The Steelers come to mind a few years back when they brought their own officials. That game made me throw up a little bit in my mouth.
No end to horrible way off calls on that one.

That's the nice thing about living in Chiefs country, we don't expect a whole lot and are happy if they make the playoffs. Denver is my 2nd home, lots of cousins out there, and the Broncos are my 2nd favorite team, which kind of sucks since they both in the AFC West. I'll probably go watch the game with a buddy whose family is from Mass. so I'll be rooting for the Pats I guess, or end up on the back porch, LOL. I think Denver got Manning's last decent years. I don't expect him back next year. He seems like a class act.
He does a few commercials, but doesn't go overboard. It was kind of sad to see his old team knock him out of the playoffs, but that's football.

Well every underdog should have somebody to root for em I guess.
I'm not an avid fan really but I'll be pushing the Seahawks from my recliner.
You gonna go watch in person?
If you believe in karma, things don't bode well for the Pats.
