I have been having numerous failure to feed problems with my CM9 lately. I found out that if I download the magazines by one round all the problems go away. Does anyone know why this would be?

How many magazines do you have, and does it do it with all the magazines?

I have three magazines for it. The 8 round magazine is the one mostly responsible for the malfunctions. Is it possible that the follower or spring to get stuck inside of the body of the magazine?

I'm not technically savy enough to tell you the diagnosis; however, at least you may have narrowed it down to one magazine, or do the others do it as well because you said the 8 round magazine is "mostly responsible".
Some others will probably come along with some opinions. I hope you get it resolved. If it is only the one magazine, Kahr would probably replace it.
In any event, just call or email Kahr, and explain the issue to them and see what they have to say about it.

Actually I stopped using the 7 rounder mag with my PM9 because almost all feeding related problems and two broken followers I have experienced so far occurred with the 7 rounder mag.

X2. Only use the 7 rd'ers on the range.

As to the 8 rounder causing problems, take it apart, examine the inside for any burrs or tight spots as you manually slide the follower up and down the mag. Make sure the spring goes back in the right direction....high end forward.

Make sure the follower is not touching the lower tip of the feed ramp on the barrel. I think this is a fairly common problem, causing some to break as they are inherently weak on the front end anyway, but can be helped by grinding off and polishing the lower part of the ramp. If you look carefully, the top bullet in the Mag is pointed almost straight into the chamber....it doesn't need that lower end to slide on.

The 7 and 8 rounders have been known to cause issues in the cm9. there are some mods that can make them run better. There is a post from a couple of years ago from harrylee around here somewhere that gave some follower and spring mods that may help.
