I shot the Tommy gun, Sten gun and the M3 (Grease gun) and I have to say the Tommy was my favorite. The rapid rate of fire was amazing. Here it is -

When I joined the police department in 1975 we had a couple of military surplus Thompsons. They were a hoot to fire on the department range.
