Long time reader here. I added another Kahr to the collection this week (Have the PM45,and PM9 already). I had been researching pocket pistols for the last few months trying to debate on what to go with. After way too much time, decided the P380 was the best fit for me. While extremely worried with the number of problems people use to have, and quite a few that have popped up from time to time here I decided to go ahead and pull the trigger.
Picked up my new P380 Friday, but didn't get a chance to take it to the range till today. Took 300 rounds of PMC and 25 rouds of Hornady 90 gr XTP American Gunner to break it in. I only ended up being able to use 200 of the PMC and the 25 Hornady's due to time restrictions, but I extremely happy to report that I only had three failure to loads which were really my own fault for loading the clip without pulling the slide back first. Only other thing I noticed was the slide didn't always lock back after the last round. I am guessing that will happen less often the more shots I get through it.
So all in all, so far I am ecstatic with my choice and really looking forward to getting more range time with it. Granted with the price of ammo now-a-days it will still remain limited. I have to say I am blown away with how much smaller this is than the PM9. Perfect for those times when even the PM9 is a little to big.
Just wanted to give some positive feedback for anyone who is looking.
Thanks,
D
