I`ve been spending a little time on Glocktalk due to the fact I recently bought a model 36.I`ve "met" some nice folks and received some helpful information but I have been amazed at the bitterness and animosity of many members there.I mean really uptight assholes. So as is my nature,I decided to try to help them loosen up a little by posting the Village People thread that I posted here a few months ago.The responses I have received left a lot to be desired.I`ve never seen a group of men whose masculinity is so easily threatened. Not one member has had the guts to play along with the silliness.Jeez,I`m glad I got you guys to hang out with.I feel like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz.There`s no place like home.I`ll bet if I wrote that on Glocktalk they`d lose control of their sphincters. Most of `em probably never heard of Judy Garland anyway.

Eh no worries, just stay here with us and enjoy the asylum. We can talk Glock too if you wanna. Just keep the bucket of grease and the pepper away...

Awww man, I thought the pepper was kind of a nice spice. Ya know plan ole grease day in and day out, sometimes ya just gotta live a little.
I agree. KahrTalk was the first forum I joined but since then I have joined two more gun forums (Beretta and one devoted to my local area). KahrTalk does not have the highest volume, but is the friendliest and most fun.

That G36 is a good little gun and I've had mine quite a few years. The folks "over there" on the afore mentioned forum wouldn't like to hear though that I have parked it since I got my CW9. The only time I use it specifically is when I am chasing wounded hogs in the brush. A "nine" just ain't enough when you go after pigs.
It's good to know you can always come back here and be among friends. Some folks just can't take a joke.

I also spend time on GT even though no kool aid here yet. I was thinking the same thing as Dietrich just today. Some of their reactions to real world stuff is a bit disconcerting.

The thread is titled "I ask You tell". It`s in the main room section under the GNG lounge subforum. I use the name Hubadub there. The posts to the thread question never gave an answer but I got a couple of PMs that were downright threatening.Internet tough guys.I decided that it would be more fun to further threaten their manliness so I wrote them back that I was more man than they would ever be and more woman than they would ever get. That really set them off.I loved it.

I occasionally go to the Kahr forum on GT, and the people there aren't too bad. However, I have never owned a Glock, nor have I ever wanted to do so, so I stay away from the main forum at GT. Being an ex-lawyer, I normally don't shy away from controversy, and usually like a good argument, but over there, if you make one statement that someone considers unfriendly to their beloved Glocks, they pile on like crazy. THR and TFL are bad enough with their gun snobs, but GT is the pits.
I agree about the friendly atmosphere here, and that's why I visit nearly every day. If I want to start a fight, I go to the Taurusarmed forum and mention the problems I had with a 709 and PT745. Then I stand back and watch the fur fly. One of these days, I going to get banned there like I was on the Kimber forum. I've been censored, but so far, not banned.

Banned from a Kimber forum, you bad boy! I guess I lead a sheltered life, I never been on any of them others.

Yeah, I went there because a friend was having feeding problems with an Ultra Carry II. I got jumped on from all sides by suggesting that it might be the fault of the pistol. One thing led to another and I think I suggested to a senior member that "he knew so little about guns, maybe he should take up knitting". After that it was bye-bye.

Well I guess now would be a good time to come out of the closet. I knit! OK, my name is Bawanna and I Knit!
Haven't much lately. I started in grade school when we made a blanket, I think they called it a african or afican, a freaking blanket ok. We sent it to a military hospital. It was pretty cool.
When mechanical things and people are feeding me cah cah, I found it soothing to knit, sometimes drinking helped. I do know that drinking and knitting don't do well together.
The Kimber forums loss is our gain and its disheartening that a senior member would have that kind of power to wield. Maybe I'll sneak over there sometime, maybe the KelTec forum (they got a forum and do my impression of JimK) You disagree, your gone. I'm sure glad we always agree on everything around here and there's no bickering, or flaming or nasty mud flinging, well maybe a couple times but it relieves the boredom when most folks are outside playing as they should be and some of us are drinking and knitting. I gotta go rake the grass. Remind me to tell ya sometime how much I hate raking grass and leaves. Love to mow, ride my riding mower (can't stop, but I don't got to stop, just got to go). People don't know I'm a drinking, knitting derelict when astride my trusty mower.

I have 3 that I visit when I'm home, which isn't very often (8 days a month).
Kahrtalk, The fiearms form TheFirearmsForum.Com - Powered by vBulletin (http://www.thefirearmsforum.com/index.php?) Which has a great group of people. I use the same name so you can find me there, and a PA site which is great if you live here.
Pennsylvania Firearm Owners Association (http://www.pafoa.org/) The PA firearm owners assoc.
What Part of PA, noslolo? The company I work for has a plant in Shartlesville (close to Allentown), so I have to make trip there from time to time. They're lucky they ever got me out of the Cabela's though..... WOW It sure made the Bass Pros around Okla look TINY.
everyone needs a little jackassery from time to time. if they can't take it, sucks to be them

I came across Sepp while reading a book on the last year of the war in Europe. I think he commanded the 6th Panzers.

You better go cut you a switch and whip yourself on the back porch too. Your standing on the line of PC rebellion and we got ladies present again. (at least 1).
Don't whip too many times, it being first offense, and minor at that.
If you can do it with pictures to share that would be really good!
Getting a bit racey or was that randy....

Naaah, I just like to give him a jab now and again. But if he's getting racy with Randy we're gonna have to have a serious talk though. Course Dietrich might recommend a good quality pepper.
