New here and just bought a new CM45. it's still in transit to FFL dealer. Can anyone tell me which mags will fit this gun? K525 comes with it. Will K725G, K625G fit? I'm pretty sure the K625 and K725 will. The "G" mags have extensions on them. Are there slip-on extensions available for the K725, K625? Thanks to all you dedicated Kahr enthusiasts, this is a very fine knowledge based forum! I read the new gun prep post, hope I can do it justice and ensure I start out with a reliable and enjoyable firearm.

Any .45 cal Kahr mag will work. I bought a couple 7 rounders I found in sale. Ugly but they work. I'm not aware of any slip-ons.

I kinda thought so. Looks like the catch slot is in the same position on all of them. Can't wait to shoot it! Thanks!

If you're looking for inexpensive mags as backups, or for the range. 1911 mags work fine. I have the CW45 and use an officer's 7 round as the carry mag and an 8 round 1911 mag in my belt.
The Kahr mags, with their thick base, add half an inch to the pistol's over all height. I purchased the CW because, with an officer's mag loaded, the pistol's height is the same as your CM with it's Kahr Mag inserted, but has an extra half inch of barrel, and 2 more rounds.
Some 1911 mags will not lock the slide open on last round, but, for me, most work fine. An officer's mag with no plastic bottom plate (Flush metal base plate), should be the same length, over all, as the 5 round Mag that came with your CM, and can give you 6 or 7 rounds. But instead of the black plastic bottom plate poking out of the butt, it will be a half inch of mag poking out just about the same length. (On the CW, it fits flush)
Plus, 1911 mags are a lot cheaper and are floating around out there for $20.
6 rounders from Mec Gar (midway has them for 17 bucks) work fine. So do the Kimber and Wilson's I have for my Commander's.
I have heard that some "Cheapies" don't align quite properly with the mag release.
So be sure to check out the mags for fit and function, and get some range time with them before you decide use them for carry.
There are a few Youtube videos on this subject.
Just my thoughts.

great info. Thanks. I'm Going down to the farm this afternoon and using a friends 1911 mags will make for less reloading of mags. I have 2 five round mags and loading becomes tedious. I haven't purchased any new mags yet and my options have widened.

Thanks Webmaster, for the info. I ended up winning a few factory mags off the bay, so have enough to carry around for now. Nice to know all this good info is floating around!
