As it appears as though a new CM9 can be delivered for under $360 out the door including Ship & fees...

What are the advantages of being the first time buyer if I have a problem & have to send it back as opposed to buying a used one for $275 & will mild stippling be frowned upon buy Kahr on the fore section of the frame & under the trigger guard if I have to send it back & bought it that way used?

Thanks!

I bought mine new as it is a CCW gun and my life might depend on it. If I were buying it for a range toy I might buy used - although a CM9 is not a good range gun. My CM9 has been 100% from day one. A little over 2500 rounds so far. The CM9 is a proven platform so I wouldn't worry about it. Anything that goes wrong will be taken care of by Kahr. Can't answer other warranty questions as I've never had to use it.

Most of my pistols I buy used. They are not usually abused and most have probably just sat in a safe. You save the initial dollars and hopefully the Kahr has been broken in correctly saving you 200 rounds worth. I don't think Kahr cares about stippling on the frame. You will not have the Kahr warranty anyway.

Buying new, especially for a carry pistol, allows you to kno exactly what you put through the pistol. If any issues occur you can take advantage of the warranty.

^^^ good job! Enjoy. I broke the polymer barrier about a year ago but I still am a little skeptical of their reliability. So I prefer to buy polymer pistols new just in case I need to use the warranty. Whereas I buy steel firearms mostly used.

I think you will be VERY happy with your choice. I own a lot of nice firearms, and the CM9 has become one of my favorites!

May your break-in be smooth and your FTFs non-existent!

Well this is my 2nd CM9.... My first was a sacrificial lamb to trade on a 6" stainless steel 357 wheel gun for mama.... I kept my Harwell Hybrid Holster, Mag Pouch & xtra Mag....

An LC9 came across my hands in trading & the 1/2" increased width & length didn't cut it on those white shirt & tie pocket carry days....

I talked to Kahr 2wice today... just wish I could have gotten a Black Slide...;)

It is amazing just how noticeable a fraction of an inch is when it comes to pocket carry, isn't it?

I started with an Springfield XDs in my pocket when we finally got concealed carry. That lead to a CM9, which is slightly but meaningfully smaller... which led me to my current CW380. For me, it is the perfect pocket carry weapon. The other two have become valuable players for IWB holsters and varying dress conditions.

I usually don't like Stainless guns, especially for carry, but do for some reason in the Kahr line.

Good luck with everything.

May daily is a G27 appendix but I make more money with a white shirt & tie....that MK9 with a grip laser was awfully tempting but sure would sag the pants pocket & lighten the wallet... I was optimistic when i stated to consider the LC9 but the day of the appointment it didn't make the cut! A CM9 has spent many a day in that front pocket in a #3 or 4 uncle Mikey

I'm ready to buy. Where did you find one for 299? The cheapest I found is buds guns paying cash for 330 and $20 to the local FFL.
