I can not believe the idiocy of the laws of this state. They could have just let this man go on his way, my lord we are talking about a antique flintlock. So if you had a straw and a bag of peas is that a weapon also? This should not even be in the news because should have never happened.
And forgot to say they have to do ballistic testing in this smooth bore gun and I say WHY!!!
Make sure to watch the video part on the link

New Jersey STINKS! (i dont want to get banned for saying what i really think.) Their draconian laws, including but certainly not limited to, gun laws, are scary indeed. i hate going there for work, even more than i hate going to the others, New york, Delaware, and Maryland.
Wonder if the AG will step in like he did for Shaneen Allen?
An interesting read on the 2a...

Back the day I lived in New Jersey and was good with it. Even married a native. Later I worked into Jersey out of LA and even picked up another wife, a transplant, there after the native daughter person ran off. I mostly liked the place then, Exit 9 and south anyway. I will now no longer go anywhere near it.

Buzzard, I can tell you, stinks is n't near accurate, unless you are in Elizabeth and an east wind blows the Staten Is. Landfill over....
For the gun owner this state and it's dirty liberal politicians SUCK. But they don't call it the Soprano state for nothing. I suspect there are more carry's that take place than in a lot of other states (where it's legal) The reciprocity bill will probably change that though, as even residents with a legal permit as "Non- Resident" will then be able to carry and implode the draconian laws that exist here.

The federal gov't doesn't even recognize modern black powder firearms as firearms yet NJ recognizes antique black powder firearms the same as those evil black guns?!?
It has been many years since I've passed through that state and never did like it the Jersey Turnpike, as that was what I say of the state. Did get pulled over once and the officer completely freaked out when I had a lockback knife in the glove compartment. I asked at the time if it was against the law and was told it wasn't, but you would have never known from the way the officer reacted. Even had to ask for it back as he was planning on keeping it from his actions.
I know this has been said before, but the voters in NJ have only themselves to blame. Perhaps that is why so many are leaving as this is not the type of gov't officials they voted for. Once they good folks leave I don't even want to think about how things can get so much worse, and I'm sure they will.
Think Kommiefornia.

It's time to take our country back from the liberal, progressive, socialists who run it.

Just heard a few minutes ago while watching NRA cam & co that all charges dropped on NJ man with antique flintlock pistol. Can not find any new news posts on it now but on cam&co tomorrow he is going to have a segment on this. Now really hang this man for a 250 year old flintlock was crazy from start but I’m glad that his life wasn’t disrupted because of the way the laws are written in NJ. I’m sure this man will relocate, he was a collector and not a gun person that got caught up into senseless laws. We all have to beware of what is going on behind closed doors, as far as concealed carry holders are concerned they are the most law biding people, they have a right and don’t want to lose it.
