Californians will have a tough time if this garbage goes into effect.

yeah we have been fighting a lot to keep our guns. Seems we are losing too. I wont even get into the proposed senate bills regarding ammo sales and possession. While most of you are fighting the fight too, we are being attacked from all angles here.

The only side we're being attacked from is the left, Knkali.

Arnold signed the microstamping requirement into policy. Last I checked he was on the "right". I wish that things were that simple Muggsy.

Arnold on the right...not hardly. Maybe in CA, but not in the middle of the country. An R by your name is not descriptive of right any more. Just look at the Democrat light Republicans in DC for an example of that. Ted Cruz, Mike Lee...they are right. Cruz for Prez.

I feel bad for the folks in Commieland. I live in a very gun friendly area of a very gun friendly state. Thing that worries me is that the rot filling up the Commie states will run over into the others. Cruz, Walker, Carson, Rubio any time!

So,,,,,The "right" has degrees of right-ness but the left is always the left? Is that what you are saying? Either way you are still making my point. Is there a Democrat light Republican party? If not, then by your label they still are Republicans---as I said, it is never that simple. Isn't it.

There are degrees of left and right. I'm far right. Knkali, you lean a little left. The one thing that is undeniable is that the far left has proposed every gun control bill ever voted on or signed into law. The far left wants government to rule over every aspect of your life, because they know better than you how your life should be lived. I'm a "Live free or die" kinda guy.

I am with you muggsy. There are degrees of right and left. Many of the Democrats here in Texas would be considered conservative in states like CA and MA. Our President and his minions are on the far left end of the scale. By comparison, Democrat JF Kennedy would have probably been a little right of center when compared with todays D and R's. I am proud to be considered far right as I think that is what our founding fathers would have been considered. The independent spirit is what has made our country great and what I see the government is seeking to take away. That independence is being eroded by a permanent dependent class that is steadily growing.
And getting back to the original posting, that same government encouraging dependence wants to also erode your 2nd amendment rights as well.

Got it. While you may not like it, you admit that the demarcation between D and R is a fuzzy one in many instances. So when one says "its the left's fault" or visa versa, that is a hard qualifier to make. It just isn't that clear-cut unless you are talking about extremes which do not constitute the majority of either party. Would you agree with me on this statement?

BTW I like Ted Cruz as well for POTUS.

Well, I am a Libertarian so I guess there could be some perceived left in me from a hard liner right wing viewpoint.

Live free or die---not trying to be a smarty. I really want to know how you feel on this question. Please be candid with me. Does living free also apply to American Muslims? People that were born here, live down the street from you, pay their taxes, own a home, hold a job and are raising a family but happen to be Muslim?

Seems to me this could hardly work with a pistol that "smears" the primer like Kahrs do.

This is just another "backdoor" approach to gun control. The law has been enacted and the gun manufacturers will not comply just to sell guns in the Great Socialist State so the sale of new guns there stop? The judge had better come up with the right decision or there will be "h**" to pay. A "great" crime solving tool? How stupid! The BG takes out the pistol's firing pin and polishes the tip until the microstamp is destroyed. That takes care of the "great" crime solving tool. I swear the politicians in the Great Socialist State have too much free time on their hands to dream up new ways to disarm the shooters.

When you get to the "mushy middle" it is hard to tell the difference as the policies are mixed and that is unfortunate. Reagan said it best when he said we need bold colors not pale pastels. The repubs ran mushy middle, pale pastel guys the last two elections and look what happened. Time to try something different. I am not a single issue guy, but the majority of the views need to match. Policies like the one in question only help to differentiate the where the candidates stand. Fortunately, in the larger part of TX it would mean they would probably not be elected vs. CA where it may insure they get elected in the larger part.(both depending on the area).

this is a bit ridiculous.... do they not know firing pin crowns wear down with use? or that its easy to install a new out of state pin? also I am no expert in metallurgy.. but I don't think a material exists that can constantly pound primers and maintain a precision image on the point of impact and not snap from being to brittle.....
I guess they they will probably soon require yearly state firing pin inspections to...

on a side note, I normally don't give a hoot about the constant acts of lunacy that go on in California, but... I cant help but notice with every ridiculously restrictive law California puts in place we get more and more Californians moving to Texas trying to avoid these laws. then they try and preach the same socialist lunacy here.......

nothing personal against those of you here from California, you are probably the exception... but the people around you need to stay there ahahahah
