Short and Sweet.. over 300 rounds, No Malfunctions, very accurate. I was surprised at how little recoil there was for the powerful .40 S&W round. I was also point shooting and one-handed shooting.

I shot Magtech 180 grain FMJ, Remington UMC 165 grain FMJ, Winchester Ranger 165 grain JHP and Federal HST 180 grain JHP. This pistol shot best with the 180s. As expected the hot Ranger 165s shot a bit low at 7 yards. I am totally happy with this little pistol. I can pocket carry it and it packs a wallop. I picked it up new for just $269 over Christmas from CDNN. Amazing.

Wow awesome price. I'm also glad to hear you had a good first range report. Did you have any problems with the slide not racking back on the last shot?

Not at all. I am quite pleased. This bargain-priced pistol did way better than I expected. The only thing I added was a Pachmayr Tactical Grip Glove and a Mitch Rosen IWB holster.

Muy bueno Pointblank. I saw the ad at CDNN. I thought about it, but has just picked up a CW45 at a gunshow for 275. Shoulda got one anyway. The .45 is great so far.

Yes, I got a P45 about a year ago. I didn't really need the CW40, but the price was irresistible. Both pistols are top shelf.

That's great! Good to read that you were point shooting and shooting one-handed for some of that 300 round break-in.

Good report!

GrabAGun has the CW40 for $285 right now. I'd buy one because it's a good buy but don't have any .40s and don't really want to start another caliber.

Sure wish somebody would sell the CW9 for a similar price - GaG wants $309 for those.

The CW40 was my first polymer framed gun, and I had a few problems learning to shoot a poly framed gun. I never knew about limp wristing, it had never bothered me with my 1911's or metal framed 9's. Once I changed a few things, the gun ran like a champ. I did add the ported barrel to it, and that tamed the muzzle flip some.
My CM45 will soon take the CW40's place as my main CC weapon.

The nice thing about this CW40 is that at $269, it will be the pistol that I lock in the car when I can't take it inside certain locations. It wouldn't be such a big hit if it was stolen, like my P45 or PM9.

Can't have too many calibers...at least that is what I live by anyway. The CW40 is an outstanding firearm.
