Well, they ain't SAA revolvers or Pythons. However I did have a SAA made in 1876 once and got a good chunk and a couple of swaps for it. These are some old hand me downs.

The first one is a Trooper MkIII in .22 LR. It was given to my dad on his retirement for 26 years of service as a Chief LEO. From 1955 to 81. It is inscribed as such. Don't fire it much. A pic of the gun and some of his police stuff. Wish I had the S&W Mod. 28 He carried on duty, but never did. Did get his Sam Browne rig.

And another Trooper MkIII in .357 mag. that I gave him when he retired. It was never fired much either. It has a set of beater grips on it. Originals are stashed.

And a Colt Cobra snub in .38 spl. It was given to my dad by a retired LEO. He never used it. It is 1953 vintage and still tight. I carry it some and shoot it. Lightweight alloy model, first issue.

Downtownv would rather buy them from you than to cheat you out of them. Nice guns even if they are Colts. :)

Sweet wheelguns.

Bought a new 6" Trooper in .22 about 30 years ago - never shot that pretty thing, and traded it for a new Colt Government .380 (which I still have). Big mistake on my part.

My dad handed me down an AMC Javelin once. No pistols though. You do good there Pancho. Really appreciate the posts/pics.

Been looking for a 4" Trooper III in .22 mag to complete the set. If I actually found one, I'm sure I would have to pay out the *** for it.

Do ya still have the Javelin? A friend of mine got one new back then and it was o.k. His sister got the AMC Pacer. That thing locked up the rear end. They never could get it fixed rght.

Glad ya enjoyed the posts and stories. Got more of them and I haven't even got the the long guns yest. Y'all gotta have something to read to keep from getting bored. Or am I boring everyone to death? I have a tendency to get long winded.

Well, these are for giving. To be given to my son & daughter. They are "Hand me downs." So, they must be handed down.

Handed down actually sounds in my price range for once.

No such thing as long winded when it comes to gun talk and please don't slow down. Keep it coming and lets get into the long guns too.

Muy bueno compadres. Thought I might be boring ya a bit much. Problem with me is that I start too late and then stay on too long. So, i will try to get someinging new in. Anyway, I will be headed for a weekend at teh gunshow and something new might turn up. Might get to move some of them Wallly World guns and fixer uppers so I can get something good. Income tax checks should be getting cashed now.

This is my "bread & butter gun" for the show. Made in 2 sizes, small & large. Get the table, food, & gas paid for, well.... sometimes. Anyway, they are still 5 & 10 bucks. No change due to inflation.
