I recommended a P9 to a new shooter friend of mine recently. He received the NIB gun about a month ago and has reached the 650 round count as of last night. To date, he's had exactly zero (0) malfunctions of any kind and the little gun perks along putting round after round on point of aim. I got my P9 used (actually, very little used) about two years ago, and, like my friend, I have yet to have a problem. Unlike my friend, I had to drift a rear sight a bit to zero, but that's it.

I hear about lemons from time to time. All manufacturers have them. I just wanted to tout a couple of guns whose performance has been literally perfect so far.

My CW9 has about 100 more than that with zero problems as well.

I bought my first one shortly after they came out in the 90's. This is my second and I could not be happier with it.

Thanks for the posting, this is good to hear. I'm looking forward to getting my P9 soon, seems like a fine light slim 9mm I've been wanting for a while.

We usually hear about every single bad one that hits the streets. It's really refreshing to hear about the ones that run perfectly as designed.
Great endorsements for the P9 and the CW's also.
Hope to hear more good things again and again.

Although I picked up my CW9 used, the previous owner reported no problems with it and that has pretty much been my experience as well. I now have about 600 rounds through mine.

Only problem I've had was just this last time at the range. When I went to load the first round it jammed & the slide wouldn't close. I remember after the previous range trip I had cleaned the magazine and when I was assembling it, the spring popped out and parts went flying. I put 'em back together again quickly and I guess I got the magazine spring upside down. Anyway so I quickly unloaded the rounds, popped it open, flipped the spring top to bottom, put it back together, reloaded the magazine, and - problem solved.

I knew you shouldn't reverse the magazine spring forwards to backwards, but didn't know that top to bottom was also an issue. Lessons learned. I should have immediately tried to load & feed from that magazine that night when I dropped all of the parts, rather than waiting until I got to the range to discover my mistake.

Anyway, so other than that one mistake which was clearly my fault, ~ 600 rounds with 0 problems.

Ray, I don't think there's a top or bottom, but there's definitely a right and a wrong way. One of the free ends needs to be to the front to push up the follower so the nose of the bullets isn't taking a dive. If there's a difference in the free ends, I put the one whose free end has the most rise... maybe even bend it higher just a tad.
