And you thought that it couldn't be done.

Impressive results. I have a FNH 5.7x28 that is known to defeat armor too. I didn't buy to do so, just part of the deal.

Brings new meaning to the words, Give me liberty, or give me death." :)

Not really pistol ammunition.
But most any rifle ammunition will defeat IIIA body armor even from a short barrel.
In my Bulgy 5.56 AK 10.5" pistol?
I don't need M855 to get the job done...

Barth, you are a freak. I love your pix. Wish I could just sit down and check out all the goods you got squirrelled away.

Only ss190. I've seen ballistic videos that show the newer rounds show similar results as 22 mag. I just sold my five seven iom today. Fun gun to shoot though.

I also have a FNH Five-seven. I fired quite a few rounds through it yesterday and am totally pleased. With its inherent accuracy and flat shooting, I did all of my sighting in (it has adjustable sights) at about 25 yards. The controls are slightly different but easy to use. It appears to be a well made and reliable pistol.

When I was in a tank as a tank commander, this pistol would have been near perfect. This same statement goes for aviators. 20 round magazines rock.

The ability to penetrate Level III body but that was not a requirement for me. Watch several Youtube videos and this is well documented.

Any questions?

Take a look at this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XmhmtJvLZQU This shows current production civilian 5.7 vs .22 mag. SS198 makes it through the level II armor but by the looks of it would not penetrate level III. Your video shows some specialty copper bullet that I am guessing isn't even made anymore, since elite ammo was raided by ATF a few years ago. It is not available on their site right now.

There are quite a few common pistol caliber bullets that will penetrate even level 3 armor; just need to choose the right one for "the job"

5.7X28mm SS190 AP penetrated three Level III A vests.

This is not available to me. It is cool nevertheless.
