Hello to all. Actually joined last year but haven't posted until now. I bought a new K40 (K4043NA) three years ago and have carried it ever since. Flawless from day one and is one firearm I'll never part with. I just picked up a new P45 (KP4544) and can't wait to get her out for a test drive. Hopefully I'll get the prep done tomorrow and get out to the range Monday or Tuesday. Any recommendations for a good carry round? I'll also be looking for a good OWB holster. All of my current holsters are leather but I may consider one of the Kydex Hybrid holsters. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Howdy neighbor! I currently have hornady critical defense and critical duty, works great in my three kahrs: P/CW/PM45. carried in Foxx or Alien gear iwb (well made and inexpensive) sorry i cant help with owb `cause i aint got none.....yet. we expect a range report, of course.

I like Federal HST, especially in shorter barreled carry guns like Kahrs. +P or not, as you favor, but the terminal performance of HST is tough to beat. Just my $0.02, YMMV.

Good to hear from you. Bulldog Cases makes a decent, very inexpensive slide holster that works surprisingly well. I've been carrying my CM45 in one all winter. I keep saying I'll get a better one but this one's working. I've seen them as low as $15 online.

Where from in PA? Reason I ask is that wife and I are putting our CT home up for sale with the hopes of selling and moving to the Mansfield, PA area where we have family.

Bill K. We live in Pittsburgh and while I'm not sure I think Mansfield is on the eastern side of the state. Again not sure but Buzzard45 might well be in that neck of the woods.

Actually, Mansfield is north central, i be in the south east, `bout half way `tween Philthadephia and Alientown.
