I have an older p380 which came with a spare 7 round mag, and a new cw380 for which I bought a spare 7 round mag on ebay. I have all 4 mags marked so I was able to isolate the problem when the older 7 rounder recently started giving me trouble. Maybe spring was getting weak or who knows, honestly its been used quite a bit at the range. Instead of fretting, I just sent an inquiry to Kahr explaining that I know it was isolated to that particular mag, and what do they recommend?
Answer - send it in and we'll swap it out for you. :D
Got my replacement mag in less than 2 weeks, took it out today - runs perfect. No charge except I paid the postage one way.
Point is, Kahr obviously wants your guns to work and will do what it takes. So if you're having trouble with a little 380 and you're not a genius tinkerer like some on the forum, don't be shy about sending it in. There are thousands out there running fine. Even if it takes several tries to get it reliable, I can't imagine just living with the problem or giving up and settling for a lesser gun when all it takes is some persistence. And don't blow a lot of $ on ammo hoping if you shoot it enough the problem will go away. It can't hurt to let someone else try the gun because its hard know when its operator error. But if that's not it, send it in. Rationally you know they can make it right. So let them, and get happy.
