New PM9 case question

Quick question
I just picked up a new PM9 today.
The case supplied with the gun is hard plastic but unlike the other PM9 cases I have seen, rather than having an actual mold where the gun and mags sit, it has rather cheesy foam cutouts instead.
This is no big deal of course, just curious why I would have received the case I did rather than the nicer one.

I think that is now the standard case that is supplied with the PM9's. Actually, I prefer the foam as opposed to the hard inner plastic. The gun sits in the foam quite nicely. I never cared for the hard plastic case such as the one my PM9 came in.
