I got my new carry firearm, a CW40, a couple of weeks back and finally got a chance to head to the range. I put 214 rounds through it and couldn't be happier with my choice. Well... I guess, other than the blisters on my hand. I shot just about every single stack on the market before making the purchase. At the range, I shot a mixture of 165 and 180 grain FMJ from Winchester and American Eagle. I also ran a few 180 grain Federal HST, my carry load, and some hot, 135 grain hollow points manufactured by Ram Precision Ammunition. It cycled everything with zero hick ups and even cycled a mix of all types loaded in the same mag. I definitely feel comfortable with it on my side and ready to go if the need arises. This firearm will definitely be the first of many future Kahrs!

Welcome to the group! Glad you are happy with your CW40, I'm quite pleased with my CW9. Some don't like the long Kahr triggers, but for those of us who do, it's an addiction. I bought my first Kahr in January (T9) and just had to have another one. I'm sure it won't be my last either, I'm already pondering a MK9 or a PM9 just so I have one in each size for whatever the occasion calls for. Again, welcome to the group!

Welcome to the forum. Glad to hear you like your CW40. I put the ported barrel in mine to help with he muzzle flip. It helps some. I didn't notice much reduction in recoil. Accuracy wasn't affected.
The gun has been very reliable, haven't had any failures of any kind since it ran it's 200 trouble free rounds I require before adding to my CC rotation. This gun is very susceptible to limp wristing, that's the one thing to make sure you're not doing. It was my first polymer pistol and I learned about limp wristing from breaking it in. I'd never heard of it before, funny in all the years I've been shooting. I guess 1911's, and most metal framed guns aren't too susceptible to it. I just had to change the way I held the gun a little and my problems went away.

Yea you definitely need to have a good grip on it. Being able to fit three fingers on it is what initially drew me to the Kahr line. Out of all the single stacks, it fits my hands the best. My first planned upgrade is to eventually have the front sight cut to accept XS sights.
