I was thinking the same thing, but I haven't been able to find one, to handle yet...........................I don't know about the trigger. Kind of leaning towards a revolver again though............................:p

Yea, if it's like my S&W Bodyguard was, I won't like it, but it's the only 9mm that's smaller than my CM40, though 5oz heavier.

Got about 500 rounds thru mine. It is not a take out and plink but as a deepcover weapon it is great.

smaller, lighter, long pull trigger. compare prices from Sig and K-T.

The PF-9 is longer and taller than my Kahr CM40. It may be a little narrower and lighter, but length is .4" longer. The butt of my CM40 is almost sticking out of my pocket. The whole thing about the P290 is it is actually smaller than my CM40. My goal is to find a 9mm that is smaller, or at least no bigger, than my CM40. It's turning out to be difficult. It seems the only thing to do is go to a .380, but the price of ammo defeats the purpose of going to a 9mm. I'll keep searching.

Sorry, maybe I missed it, but is the goal pocket carry? Post above suggests so. If that's the case, P224 is out of the question, but didn't know if you were thinking P290 because you wanted a Sig. If it's IWB, and you can carry something heavier and thicker (some can easily, some want no part of that), check out the 224 if it's Sig you're after. My favorite gun, but weight and thickness would turn some people off immediately, depending upon tolerance for those factors. I know that's no help on the 290 subject, but for what it's worth, I'd take the 224 over 290, but size and weight for me iwb are not troubling

It had a few Failures to Feed when new. The last 500 rounds have been issue free. I only use Hornady Critical Defense or Critical Duty in it. Pocket carry is feasible however I am NOT a fan of pocket carry.

smaller than the Sig290? the sig290 is 5.5x4x.9, 20oz. the CM9 is 54.x4..9, 16oz., Boberg is 5.1x4x.96, 17oz. the Ruger LC9s(with an actual trigger!) is 6x4.5x.9, 17oz. and just for grins, the S&W360pd is 6.3x4.2x1.3, 11.4oz and will ruin your hand with 5 .357mags. do ya need a smaller gun or bigger pockets?
I mean ya got to be able to get it out quick and get some rounds on target. (I'd cheat and go for the S&W 360pd with 158gr. Hornady .38spl, zingy, but doable.)

Yea, I pocket carry. I'm in Florida, so sandals, cut off t-shirt, and cargo shorts 90% of the time. I carry in my front pocket, not the cargo pocket, the real pocket. The reason I want a 9mm is cost of ammo. I'm on a limited budget, so $10 vs $15 is a big deal. I just got back from the range, I only had 2 boxes of .40. If I had a 9mm, I could have had 3 boxes!

I picked up a 290rs a couple weeks ago and have shot about 300 rounds of WWB and Federal aluminum case range ammo through it with zero failures of any kind...I did the standard pre prep cleaning, lube and feed ramp polish and so far I really like the gun...I pocket carry in jeans and it works for me as well as my Smith 642...I still have my PM40 but I don't shoot it much anymore due to the recoil, just no fun....I installed the flat bottom on the 290rs magazine and it works for a pocket gun....It's only down side is that it's heavy but you get used to it and it's no worse than my PM40 was when I carried it for CCW....So far I am really liking the little gun and it works great and is very well made, has a long trigger like a revolver which I want for a pocket gun and good sights....The trigger isn't as smooth as a Kahr but with use and dry fire it has smoothed out a good bit and is ok now.....If you get one be sure to get the 290rs (re-strike) as the original 290 models had some light strike issues....

I really like mine also. I changed out the trigger, recoil spring and added stainless guide rod also from Galloway Precision. It shoots fantastic with little felt recoil and holds more rounds than a Kahr cm9.
