Sounds like an odd question but best way to describe it. I own 6 Kahrs. With the slide locked back the barrel is tight in 5 of the 6. Meaning you shake the gun and the barrel doesn't move or rattle.

The CT45 barrel is loose and rattles with the slide locked back.....like 99% of my other guns lol

Wondering since the other Kahrs don't rattle is there a problem with the CT45 or is it normal?

I seldom carry my gun with the slide locked back, so I don't worry about barrel rattle. Some people fret about the damnedest things.

Lol! No worries here Muggsy! More of one of those questions ya just throw out there for other CT45 owners to see if theirs does the same ;)

I guess I was only concerned about the barrel lock up when the slide is in battery. :o Never noticed the other. I had to go check my CM45...it rattles. :)

I kind of feel like I should go get one so I can perform test on this phenomenon and acquire some scientific results.

I thought most barrels rattled when the slide is locked back.

Perhaps the question is are your other 5 normble or messed up?

I grew up with pump shotguns, bolt action rifles, and revolvers. Then, 3 years ago, 45 years later, I bought my first semi-automatic pistol. I thought that loose barrel was comical, and then when I removed that tiny barrel, it was even funnier. I've grown to appreciate them!

When the slide goes into battery there should be no rattles. I've never heard any rattles after the bang, neither. I've tried shooting the gun with my fingers in my ears, but found it rather difficult to aim that way. :)

Maybe all 5 of my other Kahrs are jacked up lol. Every other brand of firearm have barrels that rattle with the slide locked back so I thought it was odd that the Kahrs didnt....cept the CT45....btw it is one of the softer shooting .45s I own.
