This is brand new. Only cleaned and manually racked. could it be contaminated from shipping process:)

Looks like its only the base plate of the magazine. Probably was scanned somewhere.

You can demagnetize the magazines with a video tape eraser as I have, or you can float one on a plastic saucer and use it to find magnetic north... as I have also done!
I noticed that most are somewhat magnetic and did a post on that in 2010:

Maybe your magnetic personality had an influence on it. :)

Obviously it is magnetized so you won't lose any of your paperclips.
Luckily there is no extra charge for that feature.

Maybe it is the spring that wants to go north on you.

Thanks guys for your responses. Thought it only happened to my gun. I don't have a tape eraser anymore so I will just ignore it.

Just noticed my CT380 magazine is magnetized too.
I'll be jiggered.

It's a design to keep crappy steel cased ammo from feeding properly. haha!

It's definitely a "Feature" for survival. If you can find a still pool of water and a piece of wood that's sufficiently buoyant, you can use the mag as a compass as it will orient North/South with the top pointing towards the North.

Maybe it's meant to help fish your CW380 out when it slips down the cushion cracks in your couch.
