Loose magazine in magwell

I recently purchased a Kahr MK9 Elite 03 and noticed the 6 round magazine is loose in the magwell. The 6 round magazine rattles in the magwell and was wondering if that was normal? Nothing I can't live with, but was just curious. Thanks

It should not rattle if it is loaded & inserted. With the slide open & mag unloaded it moves up & down a little. I think but Im not sure that with the slide locked back & loaded mag it moves a tad. As usual if your mk9 runs reliably nothing to worry about.

kerby9mm is correct. I can't see how it can rattle with a loaded magazine in the gun. the slide bar is pushing down on that top round in the magazine which should stablize everything.

Thanks for the replies. With the magazine loaded and inserted in to the magwell there is some side to side play. It seem like the magwell was cut a little to large and allowing some play when the magazine is seated. I've only had a couple failure to eject with it, but I'm still in the break in period.

My 6 round doesnt rattle much but the 7 round one does but I never use that one.

A bit of play in the mag well is normal and actually desirable as it allows the empty mag to drop free when the catch is depressed. One complaint we hear a lot of is "My mag doesn't drop free when the catch is depressed." It's either one or the other, can't have both.
