FYI --- it has taken over 600 rounds plus who knows how much hand-racking but the slide-to-rails fit on my CM45 is finally getting really nice. I was concerned that the roughness was inherent to the plastic frame w/internal rails design but I can say now that isn't the case. When I rack it now, the CM is almost as smooth as my steel Kahrs. And that's a high standard as my MK and K models are really well-made pistols and have the additional benefit of years worth of break-in.

So, if the slide doesn't feel glass-smooth at your LGS, please don't let that dissuade you. Buy it anyways!

You are correct about that. My CW380, now departed, and my P380, really smoothed out as the round count climbed. Smooth and tight. I've got to get myself a k9 when one goes on sale.

There is a basically new one with night sights on sale right now in the Kahrtalk classifieds, $500 plus shipping. It is compelling enough I almost upgraded mine.
