Decided that there wasn't a big enough diff between my P9 and CW9 to hang on to both of them.

Saw the VP9 at my LGS for 525 used. Used in name only....it is brand spanking new. Looks like someone bought it and had a change of heart or something lol.

In any event 200 no issue rounds through it yesterday other than the medium grips were a little too big. Put the smalls on and it feels 100 times better. Off to the range in a few for 200 more.

I gotta slow down...229 Extreme last week and VP9 this week....heh

Now you have to change your signature line from P9 to VP9.

I've got to shoot one of those one day. That style mag release is intriguing. Since the NRA meeting and the wife's visit to the Kahr booth she thinks she needs a magnum research MR9. It has that same style mag release.

HK makes great guns. I'm waiting to fondle the new P30sk. Enjoy that new VP9.

I was very concerned about the paddle mag release.
But I've got six HKs and it's really no problemo.

Enjoy your HK!

I actually like the paddle release for the magazine. I wish more guns adopted this!

I've found my way into buying a couple H&K P30's. I generally don't like the trend to plastic guns although H&K sold the first polymer handgun with the VP70Z. For what I consider a full size handgun, I found it to be an extremely excellent functioning gun. They state it's been tested to 91,000 rounds without a malfunction. I'm not sure if I would trust it to that number, but it's rather mute, since I don't have the time or the money to duplicate that test.

It is one of the best fitting/feeling handguns I've ever held, and being that the VP9 is basically the same gun except for the fire control, I have to say it's one heck of a good handgun so far. They say the VP9 has a super smooth trigger for a striker. If one comes my way for a deal like the OP's, I may have to give it a try.

As for every day, my first go to guns are still the K40 & MK40. All Steel is still the Real Deal.
I drive a Kahr.

IMHO some of the mag releases on HK's are a bit small...........................those on the VP look a bit larger. Recently picked up a2000sk and the larger installed mag release is better. The wife handled a P30 and said it felt about the best of any semi auto she's handled.
