I use their Carbon Killer but it has disappeared from shelves in the N. Va area. It's a great product. Nothing cleans a HK P7 piston better. Wish I could find it again.

You can go to the Slip 2000 website and find a retailer, and get it online.........................................

I've used Slip 2000 cleaner, oil and grease for a while now on all of my guns. No issues. Does the job and doesn't really have an odor. I can get them all at a local store.

I started using their gun oil about a month ago based on recommendations from a local gun store. Time will tell if it's any better than the Break Free CLP I'd been using, but so far, so good. It seems to maintain a good film on moving part surfaces well.

so before using any product of a solvent nature, maybe google and find the MSDS spec.'s for it anf google the ingredients.

as you can see the stuff contains chemicals, water and green liquid with a citrus odor. wear rubber gloves, eye protection, work in a well ventilated area.

I am not poking fun as I have probably bought a couple of dozen different cleaners and lubes over the years. Personally, I have never had any of them fail in any way, on any of my guns, regardless of the outside temperature.

Give me anything that won't easily transfer to the clothes I am wearing, and the smell won't repel others around me, I am good to go.

I kinda agree with that. I think it's hard to find a "bad" firearms lubricant/cleaner among today's super high tech offerings. They all lube and clean well. The main thing for me is how well a given oil provides lasting corrosion resistance, and in that regard, I've been very happy with Break Free CLP.

I've found that a touch of Hoppes behind the ears attracts the ladies...........:D

Thanks for that tip! I'm always looking ways to improve my already formidable rugged sex appeal, and Hoppes does have an irresistible bouquet! Ha!

While Hoppe's may attract the opposite sex, I can tell you that Ballistol does not!

Bought some Slip 2000 EWL (extreme weapon lube) and some Fireclean to compare how they work....I'm no chemist but they both seem to be very much the same product and work the same... No odor and they both clean and lube quite well....The down side is price...The Slip 2000 came in a 4oz bottle and the Fireclean only 2oz for about 12 bucks each from Amazon....I will order some more Slip 2000 when this is gone due to getting twice as much for the same price vs Fireclean....
