T/k9?

Sold my T9 a few weeks ago because I found the grip too long for concealment (for me) and the grip too thick for my taste with no options.
What I'd like to know is if the T9 slide and barrel will fit and work on the K9 frame? I know about the TP9 but the K9 is my favorite of the family.
Thoughts?

Why not simply sand the grip panels down? I sanded mine on my old T40 till they were almost flush with the screw heads, it was great. Not as thin as a Kahr polymer option, but thinner than my current M&P selection by a wide margin.
