Pick this up and was in excellent condition, owner claims it was never fired, got everything but the box, I guess they don't box these Versa Max Tactical's very well anyway. Looking forward to taking it out very soon. I hear these don't kick much at all, I used to have an 1100, I found myself reaching under to close the bolt.

I heard the same thing about the light recoil from a five hundred pound gorilla. :)

Well I didn't mean like a .22, but less than most 12 gauge semi-automatics. At least what I read, I hope to find out myself very soon.

I've shot trap, hundreds of rounds at a time, with an 1100. That WILL be a soft shooter compared to a pump or a SxS. Hope it works well for you.

Thanks b4uqzme, I hope so too. One thing that disappoints me about these is for the retail price of this gun, it only comes with two chokes, a tactical and improved cylinder, neither one very good for Trap, maybe Skeet. I'm looking on Ebay for a modified choke tube and maybe a improved modified, oh, I did get a extended turkey choke the guy bought for it, but it is extra full choke, too tight for Trap. It uses the Pro-Bore Remington choke tubes, not the more popular Remchokes.

Check out Carlson chokes. Good for the money. Check Midway, Brownells, Amazon.

Two and 3/4 low brass trap load don't quite have the oomph of 3" magnum slugs. Just sayin.

I shoot the 3 drammers....sometimes even 3 and 1/8..I'm no pansy! ;) Seriously, I think that Rem SA should take the edge off whatever load OP shoots.
