I think you might mean shot in Alabama/Tennessee and Arizona.
Definitely stay away fron N.O. Louisiana. That cause of death there is not good.

I saw this posted elsewhere and thought it was a clever way to boost web site hits for NPR.
Each state has a "cause" for public (democratic party line) shaming. Meh...
If you read the text of that link, what it says is that its not a "cause of death" in that state, but rather, of the 113 STANDARDIZED CAUSES OF DEATH, that state had the highest percentage compared to the other states or DC.
IOW, you can say Florida has a greater percentage of folks die from AIDS than any other state. Alaska has a greater percentage of folks die from water and air transport accidents than any other state. New York has a greater percentage of folks who die from femaile organ disease compared to any other state.... etc etc.
