Picked this up last night. Look forward to getting to the range this weekend. Was planning on a G43 for my next purchase but HK wrecked that plan lol

I look forward to the report. That's the model I went to the gun show last weekend to see but nobody had one yet. If it's as nice as HK's other little pistol, the P2000sk, you're going to like it. Love that grip.

Ran to the range tonight trying to beat sundown. Mission accomplished. 50 Perfecta 115grn and 99 Tulammo 115grn Steel (all I had left in the safe, no time to run to Wally before sunset).

The 50 Perfecta were flawless...no issues at all. Probably one of the best bargains in factory ammo at 10.97 a box. Clean and always goes bang. 99 Tulammo fired fine except for 1 dud. Even tried striking again...nada.

Recoil was minimal..I thought it would be a bit more especially without a place to put the bottom pinky. I have medium hands and have the large backstrap and small panels on.

This was my first time with an LEM trigger. Accuracy could have been better but it was not the gun, it was me adjusting to the different feel. After 40 or so rounds I had it dialed in a lot better.

All in all it is a nice piece, I just need to put some more time in with the LEM trigger. I've included a short vid so folks who had questions about the recoil can judge for themselves. I think it shoots a lot softer than my Kahr CW9 or M&P 9c

That's a dead primer all right. Glad you like the new HK. Now that you've shot both, any notable difference from the P2000sk?

oh I haven't shot or held an 2000SK. I'm fairly new to the HK world.

I bought a VP9 about a month ago and like it......a lot. I bought the P30SK as a curiosity due to the similar grip it shares with the VP plus I love subcompacts from any maker. An HK in the 6-650 range is also a bargain.

If you're not familiar with the V1 LEM trigger it takes a bit getting used to. It is a long light trigger pull until it hits the break. You can see the bobbed hammer coming back until it hits that resistance point. From there it it about a 5 pound pull. After a box of ammo I had gotten a bit better at accuarcy. This trip was more for reliability check and function.

Closest thing I have in size is my M&P9c. Without the extended pinky rest on the 9c the guns feel similar as in needing to curl pinky under. I found that the P30SK has less muzzle flip and my grip stays locked in between shots. In fact while shooting I didn't even notice my finger hanging off.

I'll even go as far to say that it feels like it shoots softer than the VP9....maybe the dual recoil spring soaks up that much?

In any event I really like this little shooter.

Naw....I was just messing with you lol. No ill intent meant. Posts sometimes don't convey the joking tone that's meant to go along with it.

All good [emoji1]

So similar.............................

I don't have my P30SK yet to compare.
But my understanding is they are nearly identical in size.
Having a P2000SK 40/357 with an extended mag release it was hard to justify a P30SK.
Actually I couldn't LOL!
Just wanted one and have no 9mm handguns.

The P30SK offers improved ergonomics, standardized Picatinny rail and front slide serrations.
Also early indications are that the prices may be quite good for a HK.
I ordered a LE version for $724.
Think I paid ~$860 for a non LE P2000SK awhile back.

We will see...

I do see the 2000sk's going for around $650 occasionally. Gunbroker has a bunch for all different prices. Sure do love them.:)

650 is a better price than a LGS has them at....want to say in 850 range....yikes

Saw this on another forum. Great price on a P30sk

That is a great price. I paid 647 for mine so after shipping and FFL fees it ended up costing me 29 bucks more at my LGS.

579 is lowest I've seen it, thanks for sharing! That's a great deal for anyone in the market for one

Any planned sight changes? I really like the XS Big Dots on my HK. Really have helped improve my accuracy.............

I've got Big Dots on most of my HKs.
Including my P2000SK 357 Sig.
But I got a great deal on a LE P30SK.
So I'm going to try out the factory three dot Meps.
Can't guarantee the Meps will stay on the gun.
Time will tell...

Methinks you may find the Meps are better at longer range. I love my Big Dots, too.
