I just purchased a Wolff #5 striker spring for my k9, and need some detailed DIY instructions on installing it. My search has returned threads that make mention to tutorials being on forums and YouTube, but I've been unable to locate them.

Search for "Kahr slide detail strip" or Kahr Upper Strip and lots of videos will come up. Oh, and pretty much any Kahr pistol will do. The slides come apart the same way to get to the striker and spring.

Bloody heck, it took me forever to find this thread and when I did it was right out in plain sight.

The Ripley retractor tool is a very handy too. I used a coat hanger, it's easy to make and helps immensely.

Thanks guys... Plus I wasn't sure if all models broke down the same and had the same internals.

One tip; you need a small, yet sturdy, tool to depress the pin on the end of the extractor assembly. The hole to reach it is tiny, only about 1/3 of the opening. I use a small jeweler's screwdriver. Here's a pic of the plate off the rear. Note in the photo the bottom edge of the plate, which is upside down, the detent where the pin rests and the small amount of room left to slip a tool through. Don't make the mistake of pressing against the plate itself.
