Looking at a PM9 made in 2004. I'm unfamiliar with the lineage of this model. Anything I should know about one this old? Any reason new TruGlo TFX sights wouldn't fit? I'm familiar with the latest PM9 - been researching new weapons for a while. Just not sure about past issues/changes. Thanks!!

Maybe one of the experts can confirm but I believe all the polymer models were built with the new style slide sight dovetails. So as long as you order your sights to fit a PM or a new style slide, you should be fine. Some of the older K and MK models used a different dovetail. You might want to have a new recoil assembly available. No telling how old or worn it is. I wouldn't expect any of the other parts to wear out. Always test fire if it's available.

I thought PM9s were built both ways. The sure way to tell is by the dimple on the slide. The information is on the sights for sale on the Kahr website, like here: http://www.kahr.com/Sights/Kahr-New-Trijicon-Night-Sights-Set.asp

I wasn't sure myself but I do believe Alfonse is correct as usual. The 9's came both ways. I know the 45's are all new style which I see in his link.
At one time there was some confusion on the dimples, some got double dimpled or something, not sure it meant anything. Comparing the pictures seems like it would be easy to tell which ones you have.

Flat nose, dimples, notch in slide, old bevel, new bevel, grip hole dimensions.......................................i t's becoming way too confusing. Do you think Moon does this on purpose?????????:)
