E9 and C/T grips

Hello everyone, been a member a short while, really have learned quite a bit about my early model E-9, also enjoy the friendly back and fourth among the members here [not so stuffy-like some other forums].
I do have a question though. As shown in the title-I have a early model E-9 77 model according to the s/n chart -slab sides and impact screw- I would like to install a set of C/T laser grips on it, but I have not been able to locate any information on the modification that needs to be made to them to get them to fit, or any information as to why they will not fit.
I have looked all through this site and tried u-tube and google search with no luck, if there is someone that has been there done it I would really appreciate hearing from you.

E9 and K9 grip panels are interchangeable, therefore CT grip for a K9 should fit your E9.

This was my thinking also. I was trying to confirm that but I believe your are right.

For sure with the early K9 and K40's. The later ones well scratch that, I think I'm thinking MK's not K's.
I don't know if the frames on the K's have changed or not.
