Is there a better option i could pick up from cabelas or local shop?

No, but the 8-round is full-sized, not the Officers. The officers or compact would only hold 7 rounds, and some brands only 6.

I found that my Wilson 47D 8 rounders work well in my PM45 but the 6 round officer model size Wilson's balk.
Has to be spring pressure or something, the tube and followers are identical.

Agree with Bawanna. I have also used 7 round old military mags after a small dremel work at top of lock hole

earle8888, I like your signature. I've never failed at anything that I've ever tried, but I sure have found a lot of ways to do something that wouldn't work. :)
