I have a cw380. It has become my edc during the summer and has even replaced my glock 19 during the winter months. I don't really have the funds to drop on another gun such as a cm9 or cw9, plus break in ammo and more holsters. I like pocket carry but prefer iwb carry. I'm thinking of converting my cw380 to a iwb carry gun by getting the 7 rd extension mag and a good iwb holster. How reliable are the 7rd mags for the cw380's? I've also thought about getting the +1 magguts for the 7 rd extension mag.
I'd rather have a smaller 9mm for iwb but I think with good ammo (precision one) and have the ability to have 8+1 380 iwb would be a good trade off. Plus I can change the mag to the flush fitting one If I want to pocket carry.

I also use the CW380 as my EDC in the summertime. My pockets are always full of other things so I carry IWB. I cannot speak to the 7rd mags but I have three 6rd mags all with MagGuts +1 in them and they all work flawlessly. I highly recommend the MagGuts.

Have you ever had a problem with the reliability of the magguts? I was wanting to go with the 7rd extension mags to get a better grip on the gun.

No problems with the 7 rounders here. Also, the CT 7 rounders will work in the smaller 380s.

Thank you and good to hear. I remember hearing somewhere the 7rd ext mags not being to reliable in the cw380's.

I like the magguts too. No problem with the 6 or 7 rounders. I keep on going back and forth between carrying a 380 with 8+1 and a 9mm (P938)with 6+1 . 9 rounds in a small package like that is pretty nice I have to admit.

Dunno about the "better grip on the gun" part. Gripping the extension on my 7 rounder seems to interfere with feeding, especially when the mag is full +1. I practice keeping my fingers off that extension. If you're thinking about buying a 7 rounder with better grip in mind, recommend trying somebody's first.
BTW, just installed magguts on my 6 round 380 mags (so they hold 7.) Only been to the range 1x, but no problems so far.

Yeah that's what I've heard about the 7rd mag having reliability problems is when gripping it. I'd probably just have to buy the extended mag and see if I like it or it works for me first. 8+1 in a cw380 does appeal to me though.
I'm glad I went with the cw over the Ct model for the best concealability but sometimes wish I also had a ct for iwb. Is there much of a velocity/accuracy difference between the two models?
